Feedback 2017/04/01[edit]

Sadly, this page is out-of-date, and contains some information no longer accurate (for instance, there is no list of ArenaNet employees at the official ArenaNet site). --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 09:49, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

One could add Ree Soesbee, Colin Johanson, Jeff Grubb to the list of former employees, among others. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 00:25, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
Edited those into former employees. Thanks! --Rain Spell (talk)
Since you are doing such a great job... Daniel Dociu has left, Horia Dociu is now Lead. I believe Regina Buenaobra is Community Team Lead. Lena Chappelle, Robert Hrouda, Eric Flannum, Jon Peters, are all former employees. Writers that could be added are: Angel McCoy, Peter Fries, Scott McGough, Ross Beeley, Bobby Stein, and others. Thanks. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 04:47, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
I was unsure on what category to place Regina under, as her website gave her a more generalized job title ("Head of Content Marketing") so I placed her under Community Coordinators. All the rest are where they should be. Let me know if you have any more! Also, how is there only 1 animator? Do all the artists double up or something?--Rain Spell (talk) 05:59, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
Ok, Gaile Gray is no longer Support Liason, she has a different title (you can see it on the forums). Colin was Game Director, previously. I'm sure there are lots of animators; this list certainly is nowhere near 350 employees. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 06:35, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

For the 'verification needed' for Grant Gertz - Producer, one need only refer to the Guild Chat stream of 6/23/2017. --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 19:11, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

New Category[edit]

I am afraid I don't know how to add a new category, nor whether there should even be one, but here is an employee's name and position: Jeremy Brown

Data Analyst

Feedback 2017/07/08[edit]

Hmmm, so which is it going to be? Alphabetical by first name (now), or last? And if it is by first name, why?. --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 20:03, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

I figured since we alphabetize NPCs and pretty much every other link on the wiki by first name, then we should do the employees as well. If the employee names were formatted as "last name, first name" then I could see sorting by last name instead. For example, Katy Hargrove -> Hargrove, Katy. As it was before, at a glance, the lists seem unorganized in their sub groups.
Honestly, thinking about it, it's probably better to just redisplay the links in a last/first format. It's probably more consistent with viewer expectations that way.--Rain Spell (talk)
Uh, ok, I guess. But, you only changed 'Designers', so it's confusing. I prefer, if it's going to be alphabetical, at all, to be by last name, and not in the Last name, First name format. But, do as you will. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 20:36, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
Made this page to explore the different possibilities. Thoughts? I believe that alphabetization in some form is absolutely necessary, and I figure we should all decide on a format before any more changes are made. --Rain Spell (talk)
I think most users/players would be able to find the entry (employee) by using 'search', and it doesn't really matter what form the alphabetizing of names on this page takes. I doubt very many users/players even look at this page, to be honest. I don't like the Last name/First name scheme, and when using it to 'search', it doesn't take you to the page (of the employee), anyway (though it does take you to 'special page').
Oh, and any alphabetizing errors were probably from me, as I didn't even realize the names were alphabetized, at first. I thought 'Leads' and such would be at the top of lists. Sorry. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 22:05, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
I think an alphabetical by first, <First Name Last Name> format will more consistently match the NPC lists on other pages. It'll also be easier to read and organize, and we won't have to worry about foreign naming conventions and reformatting links. I'll just convert all the lists for now.--Rain Spell (talk)

As you wish; I'll leave the page in your hands. Oh. You forgot to add Jeremy Brown as a Data Analyst. Inculpatus cedo (talk)

Here's a couple more: Randall Price, Senior Vice President, Global Business and Brian Porter, Head of Global Marketing. No idea what categories those would be. Marketing for both? Inculpatus cedo (talk)
Do you really think we should put labels like 'Mounts Team' on the entries? They won't be on something like that very long, probably. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 03:47, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
Seems like too temporary of a job for me. They are artists, animators, programmers, developers, etc. Mounts seems like more of a task than a hat. G R E E N E R 04:34, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
I think that for large development projects, it's ok to give credit on the list and employee page. If we didn't have any kind of project notes, then it would just be a list of names where you'd have to click through each one to find certain info. If they're given the title in a video, then they've probably been quite involved with the project. It facilitates at least a little browsing. --Rain Spell (talk) 07:23, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

Should be edited accordingly to the list here: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/55349/living-world-season-4-a-star-to-guide-us-devs-here-ask-us-anything#latest --78.237.158.191 16:37, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

Unfortunately, that list doesn't indicate what the Developer's position is; merely which Team they are currently on. --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 16:44, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

This page is super out of date. A bunch of employees seem to have left without announcing based on LinkedIn.
