Dialogue[edit]

I'm Genus Portersmoke. Pleased to meet ya. You may have heard of me—my hot sauce is famous all the way to Ebonhawke.
Talk more option tango.png Something smells delicious.
I call it the 3-2-1: three parts meat, two parts meat, and one part meat! I'm perfecting it for Meatoberfest.
Talk more option tango.png Meatoberfest?
You've never heard of Meatoberfest? It's a festival held in the village of Butcher's Block, in the Diessa Plateau. If you love meat, it can't be beat.
Talk end option tango.png Maybe I'll head that way.
Talk more option tango.png I'd like to try some of that hot sauce of yours.
(If there's any Portersmoke's Famous Hot Sauce available)
Ain't you plucky! That pot over there is a fresh batch. Just don't try too much. It'll set your tongue on fire.
Talk end option tango.png Will do.
(If Stop thieves from stealing Pitmaster Portersmoke's barbecue has recently failed)
Wish I could oblige you. Unfortunately, you ain't the only one, and the others didn't bother to ask. They just took it—all of it.
Talk end option tango.png That's unfortunate.
Talk end option tango.png I'll leave you to your work.

Quotes[edit]

Ah, rabbit jerky. That hits the spot.

Notes[edit]

  • Trying his hot sauce will apply the Steam (elementalist skill).png Met the Man effect. Trying the sauce again while under this effect will result in being launched backwards and afflicted with 3 seconds of burning.

Trivia[edit]

  • Pitmaster Portersmoke is based off of Gene Porter, the proprietor of Dixie's BBQ which was located in the Seattle area. Porter would go to customers with a saucepan of his famous hot sauce and ask them "Have you met the man?"
