Defeat Dexicos the Covetous by destroying artifacts is a level 80 dynamic event at Kestrel's Vow in Jade Mech Habitation Zone 03. If this event is active the  Kestrel's Vow Waypoint — will be contested and unusable until the event is completed.

Walkthrough

This is a fairly simple fight against some weaker enemies, and an elite boss mob that first becomes invulnerable and then untargetable at 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20% health. This requires one of the surrounding artifacts to be destroyed to make the boss vulnerable to damage again. Note that the artifacts are somewhat small, so following the tether from the boss and using area-of-effect attacks can make this part significantly easier.

Satoshi: They've been scattered around the wilds for generations without incident. They're basically just garbage.

Satoshi: Have you seen the city? We've got bigger problems than me invoking the spirits of...

Tybar: Put that down, you fool!

Satoshi: (agonized scream)

Dexicos the Covetous: Oh, I like this place. Such excess to consume, and yet you try to keep it from me.

Tybar: Damn it all! We gotta destroy these relics now!

Dexicos the Covetous: Your struggle is futile! You will all be mine!

Dexicos the Covetous: To think, you've hoarded this feast for all these years, as though I wouldn't get my due.

Dexicos the Covetous: Your pitiful lives belong to me!

Dexicos the Covetous: Get back. It's mine! Mine!

Notes

Anomaly:

Dexicos the Covetous is actually only invincible very briefly, and the rest of the time they are simply untargetable and unaffected by attacks. This means that any remaining conditions will continue to deal damage to them. It is currently unknown what will happen if this causes Dexicos to be pushed past the next health threshold.
