Curator Ruras
Curator Ruras was an explorer from Ascalon that traveled to the Desolation in search of ancient Elonian artifacts for the Ascalon Athenaeum museum in Rin. He, along with the rest of the expeditionary crew, died from the sulfur in the Desolation. Unlike the others, however, he did not realize he had died and refused to believe such. Post-death, the group was hunted by Margonites, and later by Palawa Joko's ghost eaters. After Nightfall, the group had settled in the Lair of the Forgotten with other lost souls. Ruras finally believes he has died, but still refuses to believe Ascalon has fallen to the charr and Rin is gone.

Dialogue[edit]
- Good day. I am Ruras, curator of the finest museum in Rin. I apologize, but please step back. The odor of the wastes clings to you.
- What's this key the girls are after? only during Help Kyrisah and Meymo locate the lost key
- A Margonite named Zadukar the Blessed was in charge of the Bone Palace during Abaddon's short reign. He's long dead, but he won't have taken his key with him.
- Do you have time for another question?
- I should be going.
- What museum?
- The Ascalon Athenaeum, of course! I've amassed a superb collection of antiquities. I may have died in the pursuit, but my legacy lives on in Rin.
- I hate to say it, but Rin is gone.
- Did those simpletons put you up to this? They think they can put one over on me, and I won't have it! I'm of half a mind to fire them.
- I should be going.
- I have other questions.
- I should be going.
- You know Rin's gone, right?
- Did those simpletons put you up to this? They think they can put one over on me, and I won't have it! I'm of half a mind to fire them.
- I should be going.
- What brought you here?
- I... I don't remember. Collecting artifacts for the museum? Yes, that was it. It's been so long. I really can't say...
- What museum?
- same as above
- I should be going.
- I'll take your word for it.
