As fear spreads through Dragon's End, I keep coming back to a central question. Soo-Won could have gone anywhere, but she came here. Why? I do believe it has something to do with the age of this place.

...many stories throughout Tyria, but one that's seldom told is the beginning. How this great land of chaos and beauty formed. Alas, there is only so much a simple miner can deduce, but the hunger to find out has always been there. Since I was a child, I was obsessed with geology. How time, the elements, magic, and the land all weave together, giving a window into the past. What I discovered is that deep beneath Dragon's End, it seems, is one of the oldest parts of Tyria, with a focused confluence of magic unlike any I've ever seen.

...as I learn more, perhaps I can be of some service before it is too...

1630 CC ...for years we've felt Ione's subterranean murmurs, upset that her people turned away from her.

1643 CC ...offerings to Ione still go unanswered. Regardless, people have grown accustomed to the occasional tremor. I have even heard of parents in the surrounds hastening their children to bed under the threat that they might wake her.

1660 CC I start my 30th year as the keeper of this journal, and I will now risk everything by saying that after my own research, I do not believe Ione has been speaking to us. These tremors could well have a different origin...
