Arcanist Kari is a member of the Durmand Priory. She was among the first to investigate the then veiled Tower of Nightmares in Viathan Lake. She was captured and trapped inside the tower's walls. When the tower fell, she was able to return to Thunder Ridge Camp and reunite with her golem, AUX-1.

Being in the tower was a...fascinating experience. One I never want to repeat, mind you. I'll be having nightmares for years.

Your golem was worried.

I doubt that. I removed its caretaker crystal years ago. Though, admittedly, some residual hint of its earlier personality may remain.

Where were you?

I was trapped, dragged behind the veil where no one could see me. I find it difficult to talk about. They enclosed me...inside the tower walls themselves. I could only watch.

Did that Maddox fellow ever find you?

I found him, though not until it was too late. My colleagues have already taken his body back to the Priory for burial. I wish he'd left a more in-depth message. Now I'll never know...

Did you happen to see a skritt in there?

You mean Katterwik? Yes, I saw her. She...didn't make it out alive either, though she fought bravely before... Well, you know. Was she a friend?

No. But, she'll be missed.
