Rune of Sanctuary[edit]

Sorry about that issue with the page. We know that some legitimate edits will get caught by that filter, but more often than not it's vandalism, and as you can see, you've made enough edits that it doesn't apply to you any more. Hope the rest of your time here goes better. --JonTheMon 22:40, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

I completely understand, no problemo. Quickfix 18:23, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

otheruses[edit]

We have a nifty template for that: otheruses--Relyk ~ talk > 22:34, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

Sweet, thanks! I also thought about adding the event to the infobox for the npc, since it is a rather unique boss. Is there an accepted way of doing that? NPC: [[Fire Elemental (Thaumanova Reactor Fallout)]] Event: Destroy the fire elemental created from chaotic energy fusing with the C.L.E.A.N. 5000's energy core. Or is adding an events section the standard for referencing that? Quickfix 23:30, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
There hasn't been too much discussion, hence consensus, about handling NPCs and the events they're in. The Fire elemental boss is an NPC recycled as the boss for two meta event chains and a summon shares the same name, laziness on Arenanet's parth. Adding an events section is the common practice, you can't really add the event to the NPC infobox anyways. I encourage this practice because the wiki should have tips and strategy on the event page. You need that information there and the NPCs vary in their abilities depending on their level and zone.--Relyk ~ talk > 00:43, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
Alright that sounds reasonable. I saw a few pages use "goal= event name" in the npc infobox. It probably does clutter things too much, since bosses can be reused. Wouldn't be the best thing to get into the habit of doing that. Similarly with strategies, though a note suggesting where to find the strategy on the npc page may be nice. Trying to get the 4 level 15 epic bosses completed with an acceptable, shared layout. Quickfix 01:16, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Temple Trinkets[edit]

Thanks for updating the temple merchant pages with their new wares. I imagine from the names that those are probably complete sets of trinkets for every equipment slot, required level 80, including upgrade slots and with the attribute bonuses one would expect from their prefixes...did you happen to verify all that when you were updating the lists? --Felbryn 22:02, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Ah, I was hoping that info was already out there. I took a screenshot of the list and moused over one item each. Nothing in the upgrade slots - they are like their rare versions. Also, they are account bound until used.
  • Cavalier's Ring - 48 pow, 67 tough, 3 crit damage.
  • Magi's Ring - 48 pre, 48 vit, 67 heal
  • Wayfarer's Ring - 48 tough, 48 vit, 3% MF
  • Soldier's Ring - 67 power, 48 tough, 48 vit
Quickfix 22:48, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Well, assuming that you've got a copy/paste error on the Soldier's Ring and it's supposed to be 48 toughness rather than 67, those look like standard level 80 exotic ring stats for those prefixes. I didn't expect that the upgrade slot would be filled, I just wanted to check that they have an upgrade slot, since Prototype Fractal Capacitors do not. --Felbryn 23:06, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Woops, re-checked and edited. Thanks, didn't really think about if they'd have any anomalies. Quickfix 23:11, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Cathedral of Hidden Depths[edit]

I tried getting in, however, you cannot. Unless there's some trick to it. There's an event chain which happens around the entrance, but still said entrance is locked. Just like The Artesian Waters' final chamber.
Furthermore, in this case, even if you can enter it in the open world, it's not the same area mechanically, so there'd be no temple behind the door (I would believe it's just rock, actually), because the instance is in its own unique map. Konig/talk 04:53, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

I just circled the outside of hte temple in ever way, there's no obvious way in. If you can get in, it's through a glitch. I think you're mistaking the Plaza of Lost Wisdom - the entrance of the temple - with the inside temple itself, the Cathedral of Hidden Depths, which is an area unique unto the personal story step (that is, it doesn't exist in Straits of Devastation as a mechanical area, though we can see the outside of the temple). If there is some way inside the temple, please do share. Because it's not obvious. Konig/talk 05:13, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
You can swim in there and go to the inside of the glass dome, though the statue is gone. They put a Champion mob in there, so I'm guessing it's no glitch - more like an easter egg. You used to be able to enter through the broken floor at the Temple of Lost Wisdom POI, but it looks like they closed that up (unless my Charr was too big). There's another entrance along the northish South-Eastish temple wall, at the base between the floor/wall. People were thinking there might be a secret inside, because of the closed door and event. I edited pages to try and express the temple area itself is empty (but accessible) outside of the instance, so those looking for secrets would understand. I would have to screenshot the entrance to give the exact location. I'm debating whether to go through the trouble to show the gap-entrance on some page, not sure which. Quickfix 06:01, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
I see. I found a gap to the left side of the door (facing it), there is one in a crevice, but you can't get through - that was the best I could do when searching all around the temple's outside. I'll take a look for that one at the base between the floor and wall. If you do go through that trouble, though, I'd put it on Plaza of Lost Wisdom. Konig/talk 06:14, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Entrance: http://imgur.com/jZzcQMW,FcnwwmE#0 and http://imgur.com/jZzcQMW,FcnwwmE#1. Okay, just wasn't sure if a POI page should have all that about the area. I guess people would look there first for the information on the door/area though. Quickfix 06:27, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
