2nd collections and missing hints[edit]

Hi Incarnazeus, you might want to recheck the 2nd tier collections. A fair few more than the ones you listed have missing hints ("This item only has value as part of a collection." is not a hint). Seylan (talk) 13:20, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

Will do, thanks for the heads-up. Feel free to edit the list yourself if you notice any major discrepancies, I'm lagging behind while trying to keep up with the changes sometimes. Plus I feel I'm not really consistent most of the time. By the way, I think you're doing a damn amazing job regarding the collections. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 13:29, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. Can't say I'm really all that consistent either, but as long as the info is mostly there and correct I don't mind too much. It's just these collections are so large it's hard to work on and get everything consistent and correct, and there's been a lot of contributors which makes consistency even harder. I might take up your offer of editing the page, I'm just hesitant because I feel it's kinda rude to edit another user's space unless given permission :P Seylan (talk) 13:36, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Agreed, but I like to believe that we're progressing quite nicely. I'm sure everything will be almost perfect in time for the next few legendaries. Also, I do share your reluctance to edit another user's page without invitation, but since this page is more or less meant as a tool for everyone who'd like to keep up with the progress of the collections, I don't mind. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 13:50, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

Incinerator III: Spark is sorted correctly according to how it appears in the collection. Seylan (talk) 03:00, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

Got it! (Sorry for being slow, I was sleeping.) I think I'll step up our game a bit later (when I've more time on my hands) and change the list to reflect which collections are now considered properly completed/sorted. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 09:42, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
R.E sorting, I'm pretty sure they are all sorted correctly since it's something I did when I was going over each of them. You can use Alex's widget to check from the API (see my sandbox). Is it that you're concerned the API data is different from in-game? In which case, please disregard that about Incinerator III. -Seylan 118.209.208.223 20:45, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
What struck me as odd was that a few collections appeared to be "randomised" while others seemed to follow a certain thematic pattern (as in items where the processes were connected or overlapped were grouped together). Using Incinerator III as an example, it is weird that Flame Jelly and Caustic Paste as well as Smouldering Concoction are not grouped together. Nevermind. I found the culprit. The HOPE collections are sorted thematically and that threw me off. To be honest, I'd like it better if all the collections were sorted thematically... User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 14:21, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
I sorted at least HOPE I: Research + added the lines between sections, I think it makes sense but it doesn't match the ingame order, no. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 14:36, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
Sorry, that someone wasn't directed at you, but it was uncalled for regardless.
On topic, I really like those section lines. Now the question is whether we want to keep ArenaNet's randomness or beat some more sense and order into this business. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 14:42, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

Need HoT for collections?[edit]

Heya, I can't remember if HoT is needed for these collections. Depending on the answer, all the trophies will have to be looked over at some time since some gen1 trophies have hot status, and some don't. So which one do we go with oh wise project leader? -Darqam (talk) 19:07, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

edit: Need masteries to unlock the collections, woops. So yeah they should all have HoT status... I'll start running through some when I can. -Darqam (talk) 19:13, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

DONE! For the love of all that is holy and desecrate, I AM DONE! That was possibly the dumbest idea I've had. I hate myself and you all for letting me do this ( not really <3). My wrists hurt, my fingers hurt, my head hurts, and the stupid HoT template is permanently burned to my retina. I'm going to go drown my pains in alcohol and go cry myself to sleep now. I hope you are all happy... -Darqam (talk) 23:26, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
That's worth a pat on the head, well done! Your sacrifice was not in vain (-- probably). Now I feel bad for slacking off and sulking. I guess I'll cut back on my PvP time (which is no problem considering I'm not really keen on playing with all these weekend warriors around) and look into this requisition mess... User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 14:42, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
Thinking back about it, it might be worth taking a quick look at the achievement pages to make them all consistent (if applicable). Comparing Bolt_I:_The_Experimental_Sword to Howler_I:_The_Experimental_Warhorn already shows that some pages are missing their unlock item. As well, some collections are split up into groups. I left that alone in my run through last time as that would just be too many things to deal with at once; but it might be worth to look at it. I might take another look next week to do some consistency fixing, but not this weekend (need a break from those pages....).
In summary, there is still so much to do in terms of consistency. But hey, we've time. We won't see any new legendary weapons any time soon... User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 16:12, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Here's another :D[edit]

Formating this all nice and pretty to add to your giant checklist

Yeah cool stuff but the item ids aren't valid in the API yet so we'll have to actually play the game to get the details... (2990, 2920 and 2921). -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 20:29, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, Darqam! Pasta'd it over. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 05:47, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
Ok, looks like all the items are in (icons, ID, and collection links). It's probably time for you (or someone else) to go over and figure out what needs to be polished. I know for example that all the items of Chuka and Champawat IV: Tiger Training Guide are missing acquisition methods. Hopefully though you'll find no red links.
p.s: I definitely don't take credit for everything done; plenty of people caused me edit conflicts at regular intervals *grumble*.-Darqam (talk) 16:38, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
Cool, I'll do my rounds over the next few days (or later, no clue yet) -- great work by the way. I sort of skipped doing any substantial work somehow, I'll just blame it on your quickness instead of my laziness. Yeah, that sounds good. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 17:02, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
You've got for Chuka and Champawat II: Ambush : Memo: Replace icons as soon as they are available. Is this an outdated memo? All the icons seem to be the ones in the API, so unless in game is different from API, those should all be good. -Darqam (talk) 15:50, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
It's still valid -- I noticed these "icons" are not from the .dat file but are in fact screenshots (partly with the wrong licensing terms chosen). :P User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 16:14, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Oh I see, I'll take a look in a few minutes to update the ones needed. -Darqam (talk) 16:15, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I'll start from the bottom, meet ya in the middle! User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 16:16, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Ok, I met you at the very top; great coordinated job! -Darqam (talk) 16:31, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, the top is much better than the middle. There wasn't much of a middle to begin with either... :P User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 16:36, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Chuka and Champawat II: Ambush[edit]

I've created an overview regarding wrong hints on the talk page of this collection, spoiler two collection items are still displaying wrong information. To answer your question: yes, the bug does still apply. —Nefastu (talk) 23:34, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

Cool, I mean... not cool that the hints are still mismatched but cool that you checked! Thanks! User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 13:56, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
