Expansion table colors[edit]
Hey, I saw you did some amazing work in reorganizing the overview in Expansion. One of the changes you also made was to give the table a fixed color scheme, which unfortunately clashes with one of the official Wiki skins/Appearances "Vector". That is the dark mode one and the article not just looks horribly bright ;)
Did you add the colors just for appearance or did you have something else in mind? Since every line has its own color that does not really add any additional information (in terms of grouping) in my opinion. That should not be necessary since the context of which Living World Season "belongs" to which expansion is given by the chronological order. What do you think about removing the colored backgrounds, especially since I'm not aware of many other wiki tables with hardcoded background colors. I also brought this up over at Talk:Expansion. --BelleroPhone (talk) 18:37, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Whilst I agree with your comments, I've applied a temporary bandaid for the (dark) vector skin just in case this discussion goes nowhere. -Chieftain Alex 19:13, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Good catch BelleroPhone - didn't think about other views. Mainly meant for the colors to match the logo color schemes in-game as another way to visually organize the table. We could remove the background colors and add top & bottom borders to each row, but I haven't figured out how to do this yet. - Flutte (talk) 22:18, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- To add-on - can continue discussion on Talk:Expansion. Copying my response over there as well. - Flutte (talk) 22:20, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
Version history section name[edit]
Regarding Special:Diff/2883146, unless things have changed drastically while I was on hiatus, Version history is the correct name for the section? It's what Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Skill formatting uses, it's what the template itself is named, it's what the wiki-project is called. That community portal talk doesn't override it because from what I can tell, no one ever agreed to that, it was one user making the claim that it should be changed and the subject was dropped.
