- I see on your face. You wonder what's out there too. Since the Jade Wind, we've all speculated about what settlements, cultures, might still lie beyond that horizon.
Why not venture out?
- There must be a reason it hasn't been explored. Better to stay home where it's safe. Or rather, was safe. We'll be uprooted soon enough to head north with the others.

- Only that my foolish daughter, Nabi, is obsessed with exploring it. She is young, and while I have any say, she will stay right here. Our community has agreed: no one is to go out there!
