Template talk:Youtube

Link searching suggestion

Based on a few discussions I've seen dotted around, I thought we might look into the design of a template which just searches youtube for items. I'm thinking {{Youtube2}}.

The way I see it is that this template is a direct link to a video that corresponds with a page. As opposed to direct link you want search results? I can see that --especially since there is no guidelines for the videos that are uploaded. - Endeavor 18:12, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Template talk:Youtube has a video on YouTube.

I think we should be following the "Using the YouTube Icon" section due to lack of space. I've replaced the 2017 file with a copy of the 64px red one from their brand resources. We should probably avoid resizing it smaller. Also we should be padding it a bit around the icon. I've put an example above. I'd gotten so used to seeing the youtube template appearance I hadn't even questioned it. New image looks great, thanks for implementing it. -Chieftain Alex 00:28, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
