Sorry to say this, but i think that a much better template can be made, and i suggest we wait until one is before we put it into the mainspace ;)Repo Man 09:29, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

LOL I know i'm bad at wikicode and there's a lot of space for improvement, but if you were thinking of a template which includes more skill info at once, then I might have been wasting my time :) «KIrnpt» 09:34, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Was there a cost as well? (Xu Davella 09:37, 29 August 2010 (UTC))
There was, but it was the same for each level so I moved it to the skill trainer page. «KIrnpt» 09:39, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Dang you beat me too it. I was gonna say that I just realised that the prices were all the same so....doh. lol. Anyway, the format looks good imo. If someone comes in and does a better job, then that's obviously a good thing. It's the whole point of being bold with your edits, right? (Xu Davella 09:42, 29 August 2010 (UTC))
The Tier table will also need to include damage/duration and energy levels....Repo Man 10:06, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Something akin to this would seem appropriate, then, but we don't yet know whether the damage/energy/duration/level will scale in the same way. «KIrnpt» 10:19, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) This template is wrong, actually. Many videos from the demo have stated how you can buy skills from a trainer at any level; if under the required level to use a skill, it becomes a skill book kept in inventory. Therefore, the statement "This skill's tiers can be bought from a skill trainer at the following levels" is wrong.
This template is also a bit ugly, though, and it's incomplete since it doesn't state the other differences between tiers. We also cannot use GW1W's skill progression template since skills in GW2 change based on the tiers and based on attributes, so a table with just one linear progression would not be enough. I think it's very premature to make this kind of template now. Erasculio 10:22, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Since it is a template, that means we can easily correct what was previously on skill pages (like what Spike Trap still has) to what you have said about books. Of course we cannot use the same table as gw1w, that's why I said "something akin to". «KIrnpt» 10:29, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Incidentally, the template is still wrong. It states "This skill's tiers can be unlocked from a skill book at the following levels", while in reality people don't need to unlock skills through skill books, they can just buy them at the proper level.
IMO, this template is a mistake and should just be deleted. We won't be able to use it for long anyway since it's extremely incomplete, and the entire rework we will need to fix this (changing text, adding more parameters, creating everything from scratch since we won't be able to use anything even similar to the GW1W system, improving how it looks, etc) is the same as the work we would need to make a new template. Erasculio 10:40, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Making a new template and deleting this will be what is required once we have enough information to do so. This functions to contain data on this specific topic better than the previous set of inaccurate sentences on each skill page, IMO. «KIrnpt» 10:48, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Arguably this template is an inaccurate sentence : P Erasculio 10:52, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Still? :D Any suggestions for a more accurate one? «KIrnpt» 11:02, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Maybe replaced "acquired" with "learned" or "equiped" or "used"? Erasculio 11:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
GW1W uses 'learned', I'll put that in. ty «KIrnpt» 11:14, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

May I propose[edit]

A 1 px border, much like every table on the Wiki? The 2px border strikes me as odd and out of place. - Infinite - talk 23:17, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Yes, looks much better now. Good job! </slowreply> «KIrnpt» 17:16, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Hehe, made various edits over time, even. :P - Infinite - talk 17:26, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

New infoboxes[edit]

Tier Level
1 5
2 15
3 25
4 35
5 45
6 55
7 65
8 75
9 80

Something like that to tie in with the new infoboxes? If yes, someone should really simplify it properly, I have just been playing around with it for a while now. Preferably with no cellpadding and still those typical bits of white space that makes it resemble the infoboxes. - Infinite - talk 14:25, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

For reference, the idea is that this template will float underneath the skill infoboxes on the right, but it might not be aesthetically pleasing. - Infinite - talk 14:27, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
If placed under the skill infobox, it should have the same width; how about something like this? User Noxx Sig.png 15:23, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
Tier 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Level 5 15 25 35 45 55 65 75 80

Outdated[edit]

Isn't this outdated? - Valento 17:29, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Yep. Looks like the skills that use it are also outdated. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 17:33, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
