Talk:Weaponsmith (vendor)

As of today (Stress Test 8), the vendors scale to your level. It wasn't like that last week. Today, though, I was offered level 30 and 35 weps at a level 6 weaponsmith, in Caledon Forest. Wombatt 03:42, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Wo000Ooot! for lazy people like me who stay in low level areas. -CrazyRabidSquirrel 03:45, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Weapon Inventory[edit]

How should inventory for weaponsmith vendor NPCs be displayed, since the inventory depends on your level? We could make a template to show the tables we have populated here, but it seems a bit bulky to display all the tables for levels 1-80 on each individual NPC's page if they are a weaponsmith. (Example: Brehilda) I have the same question for armorsmith vendor NPCs, as well. Incongruity 21:03, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Maybe only show the damage/defense/weapon strength progression for the ascending level requirement of the weapons? A template might be needed. -CrazyRabidSquirrel 21:12, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Well, but as weapons increase in level, their price changes, too. Is that useful information to the reader? I'm just having a hard time figuring out how a template for this would look. Incongruity 21:38, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
How about:
Weapon Level 5 Level 10 Level 15 Level 20 Level 25 Level 30 Level 35 Level 40 Level 45
Basic Axe.pngAxe 40 Copper coin 64 Copper coin 80 Copper coin 96 Copper coin Silver coin 12 Copper coin Silver coin 28 Copper coin Silver coin 36 Copper coin Silver coin 52 Copper coin Silver coin 68 Copper coin
for all the weapons? You could put it on a separate page, and surround everything else with </noinclude>, and then transclude it to each vendor/weaponsmith. Individual weapon progression charts would be added to the page of the weapon instead of the vendor. -CrazyRabidSquirrel 23:15, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
I put a possibility in my Sandbox. Check it out, make any changes you think might work better. -CrazyRabidSquirrel 23:44, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
I think having collapsible but separate tables is much better than that huge table which feels really cluttered and messy. If I'm looking for the cost of a weapon, I'd at most be interested in just one or two level ranges, not the entire span.... no? Imagine looking for weapon costs for level 70... and having to trace the cost horizontally from the left to the right, but not quite all the way. Not friendly to the eyes at all. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 03:46, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
