Move tag[edit]

Ok, yeah i messed up moving it to a plural title and that needs to be fixed, but atm i disagree with moving it to Armor ... because they haven't afaik been called that at any point. Also there is no info (again, afaik) on any other type of upgrade component. Even then, as this article is just a list of 3 types, i think the wiki would be cleaner by having one page with two sections (or more), one for armor and one for weapons, unless the sections start to get really long and the page needs to be split. The main confusion would come from weapon upgrade components. We don't have a name for these yet (afaik), so anyone who simply searched "Upgrade component" would wind up here, and be subsequently confused. EiveTalk 01:30, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
All that needs is a note saying that we don't know about weapon upgrades yet. If it's moved to armor upgrade component, then there would have to be either a stub at upgrade components saying that there are only armor upgrades as of yet, or a redirect to armor upgrade components. Both mean that the extra word is unnessecary and anyone who goes to the stub will most likely move straight to the armor upgrade component page anywayThering 01:47, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Can we get any more comments on the move? Else I'll move the page soonish to Upgrade component and leave the suggested move tag for a shift to Armor upgrade component until a consensus on that part of the move tag has been formed. Thering 02:14, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
I agree on singular but disagree on armor. We can document upgrades for weapons too; we should just leave a note on the page for it. -- ķ̌yǾshĺ User Kyoshi sig.png 02:35, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Runes[edit]

This is the kind of small thing I doubt we will learn about Monday, but it appears there are Runes now as armor upgrades. Erasculio 23:15, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Ok, it appears the name of everything has changed, as seen here. Weapons are upgraded with sigils, armor is upgraded with runes, and jewels can be used to upgrade all accessories; some jewels can also be used on all items. Erasculio 12:44, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
At least one exception for runes: Rune of Holding is applied to Bags (bag, box, pack). 75.161.192.154 10:56, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Marks[edit]

The links for Marks in this page direct you to the necromancer mark skills. They should instead link to the Mark (Upgrade Component) page. I do not know how to properly fix the link though. Knots 19:58, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Edited. For the future, you can do it like this: [[The page you're linking to|What the link says]] Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 22:03, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Gems and Jewels[edit]

The page currently says that some of these can be used on all items and others only on accessories. I think the rule is: gemstones can be used on anything, and jewels can only be used on accessories. Does anyone have information to the contrary? --Felbryn 16:15, 26 October 2012 (PDT)

Cores[edit]

The page currently references "cores" as being an upgrade component for "caster weapons", but the Core page does not exist, I have never seen one in-game, and I'm not even sure which weapons would be classified as "caster weapons". There is something called a Focus Core, but it's not an upgrade component (or even an activator). I'm guessing this is obsolete information from an earlier version of the game. Can anyone confirm these are gone and remove the bullet point talking about them? --Felbryn 23:39, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

I checked it out, and I couldn't find any cores anywhere in-game. I checked some of the old crafting recipies for them, and some of the items don't even exist anymore. Even the ones that might be possible like this don't work. Hasaple 19:27, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

PvP Runes[edit]

Wondering why runes and sigils are only available in superior versions, I for one would like to use major rune of sanctuary, not the superior version, but am unable to do so and utilize its abilities in my favour. 124.191.60.179 15:28, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

offensive/defensive infusion slot[edit]

Is there only +5 agony resist ? or another bonus can be found ?

There seem to be various infusions that give +5 agony resist and +5 to one regular attribute craftable in the Mystic Forge; see also Category:Infusions. (There are probably more than have been documented so far.) Of course, that extra +5 will cost you 50Skill point.png and several gold worth of crafting materials, and you don't get to keep it if you subsequently upgrade the item it's embedded in... --Felbryn 04:25, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

requires clarification[edit]

Article requires clarification for backpack items. Fusions are optional, and some lower tier gems, but not all. Could there be items specifically made for backpack items in the future??? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 50.68.32.146 (talk) at 08:05, 3 December 2023‎ (UTC).

is this a question? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 08:40, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
