How long does the Confusion last? Is it AoE? If so, frontal cone, circle, sphere,... ? Is it affected by the ranger's Condition Damage stat? --Alad 22:00, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
- The duration is listed. The description says "cone". No, conditions inflicted by pets are only affected by the pet's attributes. —Dr Ishmael 22:11, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
- I missed the duration and cone in the description, thanks.:)
- Just did some tests. The 5 confusions aren't all applied at once but over a short channel period of 1.6 sec (following the initial animation of 2.75sec). So the stack builds up to 5 then decreases back to zero as the earliest applications time out. This means the full 5 Confusions don't last 5 sec, but only 3.4 sec, and the whole thing lasts 6.6 sec.
- If the target evades but stays in range during the channel it doesn't evade all of them and ends up with fewer stacks instead of 5.
- There is a problem with the tooltip data. The duration shown on mine takes into account +20% condition duration from my ranger's traits, showing me 6 sec (but I'm sure the confusion only lasts 5). Also, the damage shown on the tooltip includes the ranger's condition damage stat. The real damage applied does correspond to the formula on the Confusion page, though, with the Condition Damage part being that of the pet (tested with and without Expertise Training trait).
- There is also a small bug. If the Reef Drake happens to be within range of a non-hostile target, but facing away when you click the skill (because you/it are not yet in combat), it will do its sonic shriek in whatever direction it is facing, not turn to face the target first. If it isn't within range it will run to the target and face it. If you're already in combat it will also normally be facing it. I suspect this behavior is the same for all pets. --Alad 02:55, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- The condition damage/duration thing sounds like a common tooltip bug. They've been working on those since the first beta weekend. The other one sounds like a common pet/minion bug - pretty sure Charge (necromancer skill) does the same thing to the flesh golem. —Dr Ishmael 03:54, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Confusion Damage[edit]
This wiki page lists the damage done from confusion as 650 on skill use when the actual damage is 325 on skill use. Anybody know how to correct this? --Musha 02:06, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
