I got 1750 for each gift. Serena sedai (talk) 22:52, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

It's affected by the karma account bonus. Mora 23:13, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

I might have doubled up a bit on some of them as I ran around just now, but my brain has stopped working. If anyone wants to order them a bit more nicely (clockwise from Dwayna, or something) and sense-check that could be good! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 31.53.135.248 (talk).

I've ordered them by district, and actually gone around the map and verified that each orphan is there; at the same time, I've taken note of ingame landmarks that will make the orphans easier to locate, and added those details to the entries. --TerrorBite (talk) 15:27, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Fantastic job, thank you for making this! --Adelas (talk) 08:28, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Daily Achievement: Donation Drive[edit]

I don't know if this belongs on the main page, but it may be useful to someone. --TerrorBite (talk) 16:02, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Donation Drive is a possible Wintersday Daily achievement. To earn it, you must give gifts to 15 orphans. One possible path to take in order to minimize travel time is as follows:

Start at Crown Pavilion Waypoint. This allows you to visit the Wintersday vendor to buy the wrapped gifts to donate to the orphans.

  1. Talk to the orphan behind the balloons near the waypoint.
  2. Move down onto the Pavilion and turn left, follow the fence until you reach the orphan beside the fence.
  3. Turn left and talk to the orphan under the tree near the ramp to the Plaza of Melandru.
  4. Turn right and find your way under the bridge near Toypocalypse, talk to the orphan there.
  5. Move around to the left, talk to the orphan near the candy canes.
  6. Travel to Kormir Waypoint and travel down the ramp towards the Mechanical Orchestra. About halfway down, jump onto the rooftops and drop down to the orphan behind the house.
  7. Run past the orchestra down the road towards Dead End and talk to the orphan on your left.
  8. Continue along the road then turn left to talk to the orphan beside the stage.
  9. Travel to Ossan Waypoint and talk to the orphan across the road.
  10. Move into the Ossan district and bear right, talk to the orphan near the minister's mansion.
  11. Continue north to talk to the orphan under the dome.
  12. Move west to talk to the orphan beside the city wall.
  13. Follow the road to talk to the orphan next to the tavern.
  14. Pass under the Balthazar High Road back into the Crown Pavilion and talk to the orphan next to the ice sculpture.
  15. Turn right and head past the Royal Terrace to talk to the last orphan.

This brings you back into the Crown Pavilion ready to continue with the festivities.

Donation Drive tracker with API? Is this possible?[edit]

Well I know it is possible to have a tracker on the Wiki based on your account's API but would Anet allow that to be put on here? --KatieBoom (talk) 02:01, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

Afaik the daily achievement progression isn't tracked, or at least the updates between orphans would be >5-10 minutes each. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:52, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

Where's the old map?[edit]

This map is nearly useless. It's WAY slower than the old one. How do we get a copy of the old one? Daddicus (talk) 02:31, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

What do you mean by old map? The interactive map and the gallery picture are the only maps that were ever used going by the page history. --ItVictor (talk) 02:54, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Not true. It had yellow dots, and a path that started about where the waypoint is in the main area (at what is now 22). It then went to 26 and then 23. Daddicus (talk) 00:07, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
You might check the old fan sites that posted guides. Wiki mostly avoided maps and guides for a long time, possibly as a professional courtesy. The one on this page is only two years old, and the orphans have been around much longer than that. SarielV 20 x 20px 06:11, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
Looking back to Dec 2020, there was an update to the path on the interactive map. We can see the map's path change, but since this was pre-EoD release, the old coordinates no longer line up with the expanded Tyria.
Perhaps that was the old path you were recalling, as it does show the start near where the Western waypoint would be. Greener (talk) 06:40, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
No, that wasn't it. It wasn't interactive. But it was definitely from the wiki; the wiki is all I've ever used. I used to have a printed copy of it, but I got rid of it (because the online one would always be there, right?) Daddicus (talk) 00:16, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
You can look at the image history of the non-interactive map, the old versions did indeed have yellow dots but no trail. However that image is no longer valid as I believe some orphans were moved/replaced which is acknowledged by the current version of the image. Whatever image you are referring to may have been deleted a long time ago or was on a different page entirely (perhaps on a user's page?) --ItVictor (talk) 00:53, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
The second one on that page is close. It's doesn't have the lines, but it IS numbered. I'll figure out which nodes changed and make an appropriate map for myself. Thanks! Daddicus (talk) 01:10, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
It worked. It's slightly different (16 and 17 are switched from they way they used to be). But every node is exactly where it always was (for 7-8 years, anyhow). Thanks! Daddicus (talk) 01:56, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
