Isn't this a bit redundant with the List of hearts in Kryta? Since we already list the scout associated with each heart anyway. -Alarielle- 11:50, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

It is, but at the same time they're sort of intertwined systems and I made these separately with the following reasons:
1) People who are interested in hearts aren't necessarily interested in scouts, and people interested in scouts aren't necessarily interested in focusing on the heart information. In my mind, at least when I was making the pages, the search for the information wasn't from the same direction, even though a lot of it does overlap.
2) Even though people looking for scouts--say, if they didn't know the name of the scout or were just starting a new area-- wouldn't necessarily want all the heart information, having the heart information would reduce the need for more click-throughs. People can find a compiled list of scouts, see where they are located, and see what the objective is without needing to click on scouts, then click on the scout name, and then maybe looking at the list of hearts. (This has been pretty much my whole conundrum in dealing with areas/scouts/hearts/events, because all this information is not easily or elegantly untangled.) That said, if folks decide it's better to partition into individual pages for each scout and strip the information from the pages... well, can't be helped, I suppose :D. But that's been my reasoning :). Redshift 12:05, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Relating to our earlier discussion, I guess both can be used, as there is various overlapping lists in GWW as well, like lists of collectors and lists of unique items. They might prove useful eventually. But I think like this page, list of hearts page could drop progress row as well as rewards text (coin, etc. could still be noted) as it's completely overlaps with corresponding event. We should document each event separately, after all. Help fight the centaurs and protect the fallen Seraph from scavengers. is a big enough hint that you need to kill centaurs. No need to overstate it, right? Mediggo 12:17, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
In dubio. On one end, the scouts are indeed directly tied to their hearts. On the other, the scouts are not in the same locations, they are merely at central points in the area. List of scouts should show name, location and list of hearts they are there for. List of hearts should list the name of the events, their location/NPC and possibly the rewards they are worth. At least, in my opinion, but I might be missing obvious bits of information we could list. - Infinite - talk 12:23, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Event or area level? How it scales? Most events scale up to 10 players, but elite events can scale up to 100. Mediggo 12:47, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, that too. :P - Infinite - talk 12:55, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
I agree with the level addition to the scouts (and they were really just not there because the levels are from a more recent build), but otherwise I'm confused again. :( :D Hearts are not events, so they do not scale. The description, italics in progress, and completion text for hearts are all verbatim in-game and so it's appropriate enough to document them (and on an aggregate basis, as it seems silly to have lots of tiny pages, imho). The other half of the progress text was for when the hearts were a lot more ambiguous--that much could probably go if necessary, but it wouldn't really change the actual form of the table. ::tilts head:: Redshift 19:34, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

This page is specific for the scouts of gw2. It explains where each scout can be found. That information is not redundant and therefore should remove this page from elimination candidacy. The other information provided is specific for each heart and is, therefore, redundant, but is necessary to provide complete information regarding the scouts. As one progresses through the game and reveals hearts of reknown, the scout icon disappears from the world map, and therefore the scout becomes nearly impossible to find. People who wish to speak to each scout throughout the game may find this information very useful, especially if they find they have accidentally revealed the hearts and made the scout icon vanish. ~Mervil 23:53, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
