I would like to see Charrzooka as a skill for the charr. How cool would that be?--Yozuk 21:45, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

I hope charrzookas aren't in the game just so people will stop talking about them.99.1.41.126 06:30, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
i for one would like a charzooka on an engeneer type class XD LordArticus 01:11, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
I wonder if theyll be able to summon a Charr Hunter Beast since the humans have the hounds of balthazar, maybe each race could get an elite summoning skill Victor6267 User Roaring Taco Black Moa Chick.png 15:21, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Charr can summon their warband ally already. I bet the Charrzooka would be an "environmental" weapon. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 18:30, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
In a recent interview a developer mentioned an artillery strike. Sounds like a ground-targeted AoE skill to me. Sorry that I don't remember exactly where they said that, but if anyone finds the source it should be put on the page. --Thunderduck 23:35 28 May (UTC)

Change of philosophy?[edit]

Since the engineer with all the mines and explosives is now something that every race can use, it seems kinda pointless for skills like Shrapnel Mine to be racial and it probably would be reworked as one of the skills from the mines kit. So what can we expect from Charr racial skills? Humans got the gods, norn the spirits of the wild, asura their golems and arcane stuff and the sylvari the dream thing and link to trees and all that. What's left for the Charr? Maybe their skills will be about their vanguard and special combat tactics from their culture (they apparently got a warband support as elite racial skill)? I don't know, but at this point it seems pointless to give them explosives and such stuff... it would make Charr ingeneers less versatile than other races ingeniers (ironic, ins't it?). The charr are furthest developed with mechanical technology and thus it makes sense they have kept certain techs to themselves. - Infinite - talk 09:19, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
But most of them would be very redundant to an specific profession, specially the mines as now we have an entire set of mines on a single kit. The flamethrower has been confirmed too as engineer stuff. The only one from early concept arts not belonging to the engineer is the charrzooka and I'm not really sure about them keeping it as it was one of the first concept arts. If they keep this one maybe the type of technology they keep for themselves is the Siege Tier technology? But still would be redudant with the class by giving you a weapon kit. Then don't use that elite skill? Cirdan User cirdan signature.png 01:09, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Don't you remember their comments about racial skills being weaker than profession skills, but often similar? The Charr Shrapnel Mine the racial version of the Engineer's mines, just as how the Prayer to Kormir is the racial version of the Guardian's Smite Conditions or the Warrior's Mending. It is simply a racial skill that allows OTHER professions to do things (to a lesser and more ineffectual extent) things that certain professions can do. (( Norn and Sylvari have ones, supposedly, that allow them to create minions not unlike the Necromancer, Engineer, and Ranger--sorta--which allow professions like the Theif, Warrior, Guardian, and whatnot to become minion summoners) 209.89.54.162 03:23, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Besides that, we do not know yet when or where we can get particular skills. For all we know, the mines that do either bleed and/or cripple are obtained at your level 60's or 70's. While Shrapnel Mine is already obtained at 20's. And, I don't know, but you could perhaps even level your racial skills. I doubt they will just stay level 1 skills. We need gold pits to throw our money in! Ge4ce-Talk-Contribs 08:05, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
