Feedback 2015/06/24[edit]

I typed all these over at Karka Hatchling (trophy). I'll just move or add them here later today. - Flakkenmarsh (talk) 03:40, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

As soon as people are happy with the table Flakkenmarsh created, feel free to delete my post here below. I would do it now, but I would like to give people a chance to compare, just in case. Daddicus (talk)

Here are the hints from the achievement. Can someone please make them into a table? Might want a spoiler tag on it, too.

The Karka Rifle[edit]

Can't seem to find a page for it. Is the skin that it uses available on a normal rifle? I like it. 146.90.24.155 00:53, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Day Night Timer[edit]

I don't think there is a Universal time for Day and Night in Guild Wars 2. It is different for each instance you end up in. One Instance of the map could be Day. Another instance will be Night. It would be nice if there was an in game time :)
edit: I may have jumped the gun here:), every map I been on today has been as the timer. going to add it to my app. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Palingenesis (talkcontribs) at 18:03, 26 June 2015 (UTC).

this list is not organized.[edit]

could you guys organize this list by location? As in put all of the east ward together, all the post ward together etc? it's kind of disorganized and frustrating as it is.

It's a sortable table, clicking on the headings pulls the locations together. By default its sorted in the same sequence as the UI. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 02:13, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

Suggestion: Karka 12[edit]

Karka 13 addendum proposal[edit]

Something along these lines that show directly the route to the location

I'll agree that the current shot could use work - it does provide location through minimap comparison, but you have to infer actual location by area details - I'm not sure the image you propose improves much. Yes, it tells you how to get there. But for the hatchling in question, which cannot actually be seen without mobility skills or a springer, it doesn't nothing for pinpointing the hatchling. Perhaps crop the slack image space to the left of the arrow, then splice the existing image to the right to get the "full picture", so to speak.
Otherwise, just a cleanup suggestion for this image, use a screenshot with UI disabled then layer on the minimap to help trim away some visual clutter. -Azure Fang (talk) 13:06, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
"Addendum" put an emphasis on "as a complement", "Along these lines" put an emphasis on "retain the principles, not the details". But as you can see, it doesnt always suffice. Dont worry, I know life. Yseron - 86.207.135.178 20:06, 27 March 2018 (UTC)

Feedback 2021/01/21[edit]

Huge thanks to those who've contributed to this article so far. I recently went through the achievement myself and could not have done it without these notes. I have a new screenshot for #3 that might be helpful as it immediately orients the reader to the karka location. A case where a picture is worth a thousand words.

3 White Crane Terrace Hop high in the diverse rocks. Hints: Reach this hatchling location by climb up around the hill east of Waypoint (tango icon).png Diverse Ledges Waypoint — [&BC0EAAA=]. Go all the way to the top to a small, flat grassy platform with some flowery bushes. Head to the southernmost tip of the platform. The karka is hidden directly below. To get a good angle for the shot take a short hop down to the large rocks just below.

What a helpful article... very detailed great job ......

Feedback 2022/10/13[edit]

The main overview image with all of the numberings has an error. The #37 icon is shifted too far to the left and it should be just south of #38 on the map as it is under the bridge and 38 is under the waterfall under that bridge. --SquishyPenguin (talk) 22:44, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

Karka #37 map position error[edit]

The map(Lion's Arch Exterminator map.jpg) has Karka 37 in the wrong position relative to where it actually is in game.

Recommended -- find a video[edit]

Appreciate the effort to define the locations, but, by far the best way to do this, unless you are a total masochist, is to look for a video -- I found Dulfy's to be excellent -- which gives you all of them in an orderly manner. This achievement/mastery is straightforward, but obnoxiously time consuming and flat out insanely picayune in terms of figuring out where the hell these things are -- you hear the sound but it gives you a limited amount of clue where they are, and, in some cases, they are literally invisible in the dark and/or hidden in a wall. With a video it takes about an hour to 90m if you don't mess up and have to go chasing through the Maw a second time because it took your weapon away halfway through.
