Also a ranger skill[edit]

[1], at 4:38 you can see the second skill in the Slash chain is also called Kick. Just putting this here becuase I'm not sure what the procedure is on this. I'd also create a page for the 3rd skill, Pounce, but I have no idea where the 'Create New Page' button is. >_> --hexal My 00:37, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

THANK YOU Hexal, I've been glaring at that scene every now and again for weeks because I could see the skill icon but not the name xD Finally we have the (demo) ranger's sword chain names. 68.144.77.185 02:19, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
(edit) My bad, different video but the result is the same :D 68.144.77.185 02:23, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Why not underwater?[edit]

I wish ANet would allow this skill to be used underwater given the other kick skill in the game which IS meant to be used underwater. --Messenger 15:17, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

Damage Calculation[edit]

I've been looking into the damage formula for warrior utility skills. I've noticed a few things. Namely that even with a Steady PvP weapon there is still a variance in the damage on using Physical Utility skills, in this case Kick, with both crits and non crits. It seems that the utility skill rolls damage based on RNG, multiplies that to the weapon damage, and then continues with the damage formula as normal. The skill coefficient for Kick appears to be 0.05 and the damage dealt by kick is DMG=S*(Weapon Dmg * Kick RNG DMG)*POWER / Target Defense. I haven't pinpointed the range on the Kick RNG yet, but this seems to be the correlation to the damage dealt by Kick. Bull's rush and Stomp also appear to follow similar relations in that they multiply their RNG damage onto the weapon damage, yet have small skill coefficients. I'll continue to look into the RNG damage from the utility skills, though any extra input would be nice.108.192.149.28 03:38, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Utility skills aren't affected by your equipped weapon's strength - you can see this because the tooltip number doesn't change when you change weapons (as long as the weapons don't affect your Power, or give the same bonus amount). Heck, they still deal damage even when you have no weapon equipped at all. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 05:13, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
I realized that after posting the above and going to bed for the night. So, rather than S*W*K in the formula it is most likely just the Kick RNG damage. I was trying to relate the tooltip damage to the damage done, which works out somewhat if there is a multiplicative factor on the Kick RNG damage. It would be nice to have an Idea on how utility skill damage is calculated. I'll still keep toying with it, but thanks for pointing out the above Dr. Ishmael.108.192.149.28 12:46, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
