I don't like this, it(As far as I can tell) essentially gives people in-game advantages in exchange for money. =T I'm totally cool with Anet selling cosmetic crap, and I'll probably get the collector's edition, but I do not like how it seems like some of the stuff they're offering seem to give extra power to other players. That's a pretty good point, and the band is probably weak as balls. But still, an elite skill seems like a big deal, and I would prefer if they just didn't offer anything like this altogether(Excluding the GW1 bonuses, 'cause you worked for those... sorta).--Gerroh 02:06, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

The stats of the band will probably be able to be recrated in game anyhow. I doubt they'd make it OP. and the elite is probably weak too. Probably no different then any other elite that summons help. --Moto Saxon 02:24, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

In other games, these type of things are usually really good for the first 10-20 levels and then are weaker than any other items/elites you can get by then. 03:07, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

As far as this getting you ahead, I think the 3 days headstart does more for your early advantage than this item. At lvl 12 the two trait points you get are already on par with this item.217.86.167.152 10:03, 22 March 2012 (UTC)

Game advantage

Okay I didn't know this before so I guess some of you might not either. But there will be lots and lots of other rings to get, so chances are, that this ring will have a statistical equivalent that can be earned in game. I mean, its weak as balls anyway, and if all rings were this weak then I don't see why ANET would both, as they will hardly make a huge aesthetic difference.Think of it like those shitty items that came with "Guild wars the complete collection" none of which were usefull, all of which were nooby, most of which could be replicated, save the kinda usefull igneous stone thing. For the record I have prepurchase so it won't affect me, but if you have anything to moan about, let it be the Mistfire Wolf elite skill. Jumblehunter 21:26, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Broken Upgrade Slot?

During the August 21st stress test, I was unable to put any upgrade into my Hero's Band. Did anyone else have the same issue? --Emelend 18:51, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

While I haven't experimented with it, it may be like the storyline back-slot reward item. Currently, it can only be fitted with no-req upgrade items... basically limiting you to tier 1 gemstones. --Thervold 22:06, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
