Picture[edit]

I stumbled across this page and immediately decided that the image had to change. However, after checking the image history to make certain that this guy isn't the standard Wind Rider model, I noticed that in both of the historical images he was on fire, and the note on the second one specifically mentions that. I'm a bit paranoid about posting the wrong image- especially if this mob has a unique visual effect- so I went online hunting for other images. After a while, the only picture I could find online ALSO had him on fire so now I'm genuinely curious about this. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Yeah it does need to change, and yeah, it's always on fire. The problem with getting a picture of it was initially because it spawned so rarely, that when it did, it died incredibly fast. I imagine it should be easier to see now though with the schedule, but I'm not sure if it still dies silly fast. - Doodleplex 23:37, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
Good to know. I'll try to get a photo of him. -Falren (talk) 01:01, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
I... Have never seen him on fire. Konig (talk) 02:56, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
I just killed him. He was on fire. - Doodleplex 03:01, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
Just fought him. No fire, but there was a bug (see below). Here are some screen caps: User Surolam.1490 Dune soarer 1.jpg and User Surolam.1490 Dune Soaraer Float.jpg. Unfortunately, I don't see how to replace the picture on the page.Surolam.1490 (talk) 20:10, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
Fought him again, this time on the published schedule. It died quickly. I don't think there was fire, but I barely got a hit in; obviously no invulnerability on this occasion.Surolam.1490 (talk) 16:48, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
You can upload new versions of images on the wiki by clicking on the picture, scrolling down to the bottom of the file history, and clicking on "Upload a new version of this file." If you can, try to take your screenshots with the UI turned off -- ctrl+shift+H. —Idris User Idris signature.png 17:05, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

Permanent invulnerability bug?[edit]

I just had this spawn simultaneous with the champ devourer, south of Sparring Rock. We got it down to 98% health fairly quickly, but then it stayed there with the Determined buff. Reflects, Diversion, other CC, DPS, nothing moved its health bar or its defiance bar. We killed the Champ Devourer, and Dune Soarer did briefly get one Necromancer skill-specific special debuff. (I didn't recognize it, but possibly from Dark Path or Signet of Vampirism.) It did not spawn on the 5-hour schedule. I don't know if the schedule is wrong, or if the anomalous spawn is related to the permanent invulnerability. I filed a bug report, but the combination of this with the long respawn is rough.Surolam.1490 (talk) 19:22, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

Spawn time?[edit]

I don't think the spawn time chart is accurate. [1] says it's on a 6-hour time, not 5-hour, and Anet usually makes things respawn at the same time every day. I fought it a little while ago, with spawn time around 18:45 UTC. Maybe this was connected to the bug I noted above? I came here to query the times on the wiki page as well although 3 years later they still arent accurate :D I waited up till almost 1am to try and get a kill since the last 2 times he wasnt there either. does anyone know what the spawn time is actually meant to be?Green spark (talk) 23:52, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
