Wurm Echo = Ghost?[edit]

How did you test this, exactly? I'd imagine it would either count as wurm or the same thing as all the other echoes. They aren't ghosts in lore so it wouldn't be surprising if they weren't in mechanics. Did you watch ghost slayer achievement (been maxed on mine since long ago) or something? Also good screenshots of those weapon echoes. EDIT: Did you happen to note which of those used multiple models and which other models they used? We want to denote all models used on articles. Konig 04:40, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
To be honest I'm doubting why I was so confident in thinking it was a "ghost". I also have my ghost slayer achievement maxed so I can't test, but at least the names of Tainted Spirit and Champion Enemy Ghostly Hero seem to infer that they might be ghosts, and the wurm at least seemed to have at least at one point been an organic being as opposed to to the various levitating weapons. If you want to change it back I certainly won't stop you, at least until anyone can confirm via Ghost Slayer. As for the weapon echoes, I did in fact get a list of which of them share models! They are as follows-
  • Aranist echo- Staff
  • Tainted Spirit- seems to share all models.
  • Cursebearer Echo -dagger and focus
  • Bowmaster Echo- Longbow
  • Vanguard Echo- Sword and shield
  • Dominator Echo- Hammer
  • Necrotic Ech- Dagger
  • Wilding ech- Longbow
  • Virtuous Echo- scepter
  • Elemental Echo- Staff
  • Chaotic Echo- Scepter
Additionally, some of them appear wreathed in blue flame and others don't. It seems to be fairly random.
Champion Enemy Ghostly Hero is just a reference to gw1:Enemy Ghostly Hero - the one in Arcana Obscura is an echo of the one in GW1, just as Echo of Turai Ossa is an echo of gw1:Ghostly Hero. I.e., the original was a ghost, the current (a copy) is an echo. The wurm is the same but to gw1:Siege Wurms. Just as the weapons are the same to the gw1:Forgotten and gw1:Enchanted armor of those same missions.
So Tainted Spirit page should have all images then. The blue flame may not be random - could either be caused by a skill from one of them, or be on ones of specific steps. Either way, if there is a consistency and it's not skill based, should probably get an image of them in blue flame. Konig 18:38, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Vermingus and Bloodstone-Crazed Wurm[edit]

They use the same base model, but most Bloodstone-Crazed creatures have a dark red mist aura around them, do you know if the wurm does too or not? If it does, then it'd be needing a unique image (and wouldn't be placed in the shared model project list). Konig (talk) 22:02, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

I checked both of them and compared screenshots. As best as I can tell they share the same skin and the Bloodstone-Crazed Wurm has no special effects. The both have a bright lava effect around them anyway so it makes sense to me that they wouldn't bother to include the bloodstone effect as well. It'd be neigh invisible. Falren (talk) 21:18, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
Nigh invisibility hasn't stopped them before. That effect is hard to see on *any* non-player race creature. I'll try to look if I can ever catch a map where the pre-event is not bugged... Konig (talk) 01:03, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

Mercenaries[edit]

I actually had a discussion with Kong in game not too long ago about making a Mercenary page and splitting off the NPCs, and if I remember correctly, he had a pretty good reason not to. If I remember right, it's because other than the two known mercenary groups (The Company and Balthazar's bunch) the rest are pretty much just generic NPCs not part of any group, just muscles for hire, meaning that the Mercenary page wouldn't be able to be categorized anywhere because it's not an organization nor race, making leaving it just for NPCs the best way to go about it. - Doodleplex 21:49, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

Ah, I see. Wish I'd known about that before making those changes. The reason I felt that making a mercenary page would be acceptable was that I was thinking of adding the mercenaries in the Lion's Arch Aerodrome as their own group. They seemed noteworthy if only because of their Legendary weapons. Falren (talk) 22:00, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
Yeah don't worry about, I was in your shoes too heh. As for the changes, it's no thing that can't be fixed fast with a bot, no worries, and the legendary weapon bit would be good trivia for on the NPC page. =) - Doodleplex 22:50, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

Stub tag tip[edit]

Just a friendly note, if you're tagging something that's using the Area infobox, the stub/section-tub tag you want to categorize it is "|location". =) - Doodleplex 20:54, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

My bad! If I may ask, what page did I incorrectly categorize? -Falren (talk) 21:55, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
No need to apologize at all, others have done it as well. Basically if the parameter specified isn't one the template knows, it doesn't categorize them at all as anything specific, and they just go in the general Stub/Section-stub category. It's regular bot task to sweep through and fix things up like that, so you don't need to do a thing, and I just wanted to let you know. ^_^ - Doodleplex 22:03, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

The Scavengelands[edit]

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for adding the lore to The Scavengelands article! I've been adding stuff to all of the Elon Riverlands articles, so I've seen all of them (rather in depth at this point). The Scavengelands stands out thanks to your lore addition! I wish all the other articles were like that. You've inspired me! I'll see if I can't add some to the other ones so that they have a similar feeling. I haven't ever really added lore stuff before, so if you have suggestions, please let me know! AnastashaRomanov (talk) 07:20, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
