Wrong table used[edit]

The format do not fit the way salvaging work. Maybe because I salvaged infused items, but I obtained 1 dark matter, 11 infusions, 5 matrix out of 7 items. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kzatt (talk) at 00:51, 11 November 2015 (UTC).
You are completely right. I've changed over to using the table that uses salvaging calculations. Take a look.
The only problem I'm having is we don't really have different Salvage Kits here; there's just one (that comes in different numbers of uses), but we do have different types of gear we are salvaging (Armor, Weapons, etc.) but I don't know how to make the table know that... So if someone could do that, that'd be awesome. Hekela (talk) 02:39, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
It won't work for me either but I salvaged 5 items and got 9 matrices. Dark energy continues to elude me - I salvaged normal ascended rings. 217.46.70.129 00:06, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Ascended rings don't go in this table, because we know that rings don't drop Balls of Dark Energy. Hekela (talk) 00:57, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

Silverwaste amulets[edit]

Anyone else have feeling that these ones wont work? Salvaged 6 so far and no drops. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.249.70.131 (talk) at 20:47, 6 December 2015 (UTC).
EDIT: Apparently the droprate from trinkets is really low. Weapons and armor seems to give guaranteed 1 drop. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.89.97.1 (talk) at 09:17, 10 December 2015 (UTC).

Feedback 2015/12/20[edit]

When I clicked "Add or Edit Entry, a new page opened showing: Ascended Salvage Research is not a valid form. I salvaged 4 non-infused ascended rings and got: 12 +1 Agony Infusions, 4 Stabilizing Matrices, 1 Ball of Dark Energy. One of the rings was attuned, I don't know if that was the one that gave the Ball of Dark Energy --Separ (talk) 20:34, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Can confirm that the button is broken, I had to add my entry manually with the edit page. Lytalm 20:40, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
Rings aren't supposed to give Balls of Dark Energy. Are you sure it was a ring? Hekela (talk) 20:43, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
All I had to salvage were rings. But I will take a screen shot if it occurs again. Separ (talk) 23:14, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Feedback 2017/09/15[edit]

Hi all, Can the rate of successfully getting very rare items for the Ascended Recycling collection also be added to this chart? Thanks!

Feedback 2018/03/27[edit]

Nice work so far. The Backpiece was missing in the Summary, i have add it to the footer.
Several ascended gear in my bank left and I intend to salvage it. Good place to drop the results here.
The title "Ball of Dark Energy/Salvage Rate" is a bit confusing, because "Ascended Gear" is salvaged not the balls. --Coffee2Go (talk) 05:36, 27 March 2018 (UTC)

Hello, thanks for your feedback. I believe that the current title is more appropriate — when one needs Ball of Dark Energy, they are more likely to look up this item than the ascended gear in general. ❄The F. Prince❄ (talk) 14:28, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
In this case you right, user will look up for "Ball of Dark Energy" and find all necessary information at the corresponding page how to get it and the link to this salvage results. This is actually the only salvage research I found according to Ascended Gear. I think this table is worth it and more valuable to put it in the context which is actually used for. Here are not only the balls as a result right? Of course, additional interesting results are listed. When I read the feedback above 2017/09/15 you realize that. Also the boring point, that this table could be expanded by the additional stuff e.g. crafting materials like "Deldrimor Steel Pauldron Casing" which i get while salvage my armor pieces.
This table could also solve an interesting question for player/user who don't need the balls anymore "Is it worth to salvage my ascended gear?". In my case for the 15 armor pieces i salvaged it is, because I can sell the two Deldrimor Steel Pauldron Casing for 14 Gold each. Dammit, I can't drop this information to the table :D
Besides, I have this "Noob"-editor-experience-level. So, I won't touch the table. This table looks good so far but always room for improvements. Yeah it's work to do so >.< --Coffee2Go (talk) 09:48, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

Something wrong?[edit]

Is it just me or are all equipment types shown as "unknown"? -- Manassas (talk) 12:59, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

Well, it's not only you. I see "unknown" too. Older revisions show the same. Something broken Coffee2Go (talk) 00:31, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
Still broken, does anyone know what's wrong / how to fix it? Son of Urza (talk) 03:46, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
I absent-mindedly broke it back in April 2019 by removing the fallback values. I guess I missed the three talk page comments. fixed. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 21:21, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

This page is for recording the items salvaged from Ball of Dark Energy[edit]

It's not true that "This page is for recording the items salvaged from Ball of Dark Energy", is it? It seems to show the items that can be salvaged from ascended equipment, some of which includes Balls of Dark Energy...

Ascended accessories / amulets[edit]

Is it just me, or did the salvage table for these change at some point? My own records in the table show a good number of +1 Agony Infusions from salvaging ascended accessories, but just recently I salvaged a big pile of them due to Legendary Armory Aurora/Vision rendering mine redundant, and I always got Stabilizing Matrices, never Agony Infusions. It actually looks like you can see the change in some of the other users' data in the table - many entries get agony infusions and no matrices, while a few late entries get matrices and no infusions, and I've been recording these for long enough that I have both (along with a few others). Annoyingly, since I forgot to record exactly which fraction of my data was from the recent surge, this means my whole dataset is contaminated. Afrokylon's and Coffe2Go's recent datasets are probably the most reliable if this is true. -- Son of Urza (talk) 16:18, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

Got another accessory to salvage as a drop, so I archived my old accessory dataset to my user page and started a new one. Also noticed that you see the same signature in the ascended amulet salvage data. Son of Urza (talk) 04:57, 22 August 2021 (UTC)``
