Kensho Arrowsoul[edit]

Is there any particular reason that model for Kensho Arrowsoul was removed? Falren (talk) 21:04, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Looks like when I was tweaking some stuff I removed it by accident. But it wasn't a shared model, you marked it as unique. Did you find another NPC with that model? - Doodleplex 21:09, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
Not particularly, but I was under the impression that we were including unique models in this, as there are two on the Branded page. Falren (talk) 21:51, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
Ahh there are few on there that might have vets or shared models that are missing. With the Shatterer ovework there are a bunch more now, it's one of those "Stuff that got updated and needs to be checked" things. - Doodleplex 21:55, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
Doodle is still, apparently, against the whole "unique models get a place here." :P I'm not so sure that unique weapons mandate unique models, personally, in regards to Swift Arrow and champion Asai Deftclaw having the File:Tengu (blue).jpg but with unique weapons. Thus far I've only done it for effects like auras and whatnot. Konig 04:19, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Actually I think that Champion Asai Deftclaw has a different model than File:Tengu (blue).jpg, which was why I added that. A little bit before the HoT release That_Shaman over on Reddit datamined a few new tengu models, including a few of the Quetzal, the one for Kensho Arrowsoul, and Asai's model. I think that some of the other tengu in the desert borderlands might have been new/updated models, but of course there's no way to tell now. Falren (talk) 16:29, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
I wouldn't have marked it as a stand alone if it didn't specifically notate on the page stuff about the bow, hence why I left it alone. There are at least one to two more NPCs that have a unique weapon and it's actually kind of important that they do(one having a unique weapon actually influences an event merchant), hence why I left Swift Arrow alone. Side note if any npcs are permanently stealthed, they shouldn't use the same model as non-stealth NPCs, or else that might confuse people. - Doodleplex 17:01, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
I checked fairly extensively on those desert borderlands npc models, so I'm pretty sure they use old models. As for stealthed NPCs in Auric Basin: they're only stealthed until attacked. It's not even a case of "when they attack" it's a case of "when they are attacked". Konig 19:50, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

A possible suggestion for Tengu in this project?[edit]

Hi all, I was wondering what people thought about possibly moving Tengu to their own page with separate tables based on their individual models/species (eg. crane, rainbow gloster canary, fluffy, etc) as there seems to be a lot of different variants, especially for the weapons/clothing and their table is getting quite long and hard to edit with its current length Gwylen (talk) 03:07, 26 April 2022 (UTC)

Yes please. Absolutely! It would make finding if a model already exists on the project way easier too. If it's about the effort going in, I'd gladly do that soon (weekend) myself over wrangling the table every time. Let's collect known types here first? --Skrittbrains (talk) 23:49, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
  • Tengu Phenotypes
    • Core
    • HoT / Quetzal
    • EoD
      • Crane
      • Crested (Cassowary)
      • Fluffy
      • Gloster Canary
      • Grey-blue
      • Hawk
      • Redbeak
      • ?
        • Brown
        • Rainbow
        • Spotted white
I'm fine with it. It'd make things much easier on us too so that's a bonus. Sunlion (talk) 23:54, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
I do not think the page is that long compared to some others but it is also true that there hasn't been such a big focus on a non-playable race previously, so I moved them to their own page. Do mind though that the Xunlai/Brotherhood/MinSec models should be eventually moved under the Organizations. ~Sime 00:09, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
