Please help. Someone is tainting the fields by poisoning the scarecrows—suddenly our crops are ruined. We're barely going to get by on our current supply.

That's terrible. What can I do?

Search the fields. The saboteurs are elusive, but they have to be tampering with the scarecrows. It's happened before, and the tainted food made villagers ill. Some didn't survive.

What's the story with the Awakened servants?

The Awakened are great workers, but they've been run ragged, and we aren't getting any reinforcements from the south. We've been working nonstop for months. Some villagers have even fled north.

What can I do to help?

Patching up the Awakened would be a great start. Their limbs and joints wear out first, so grab a tar-soaked bandage kit and find a servant to use it on. Doesn't have to be pretty, just functional.

Can you give them a break?

I wish I could. We're running a skeleton crew here due to the war. Without these Awakened constantly working, there's no way we could keep the remaining population fed and housed.
