Disperse the Unbound Guardian is a level 80 event that occurs in the Cavern of Unseen Lights. It is the final event of the Bloodstone Maw meta event.

These are the expected rewards for a level 80 player.


The fight is similar to the Vale Guardian found in Spirit Vale in terms of some of the mechanics. When the fight starts, the Unbound Guardian will target a player and use a high damaging laser to it. Green circles will spawn at short intervals in random spots around the boss, that will shrink over 5 seconds. Standing in the green circle when its inner circle is depleted will grant all players inside it a debuff that constantly damage them, unless they press their Special Action Key. Pressing Special Action Key when the debuff is up will grant the player a 200% damage boost to damage dealt and condition damage dealt during 3 seconds. Usually ranged players run to these because melee players will have to run to the green circles and then come back to the fight, making them lose a lot of time. Evading or blocking when the circle is depleted will nullify the effect.

Multiple blue circles will spawn at the same time every few seconds, and do high damage so efforts to dodge these is advised. Seekers will spawn during the fight and these ones will chase nearby players, doing high damage per tick to all players inside its AoE, so using hard crowd control skills such as knockbacks are suggested to keep them away from players.

During the fight the Unbound Guardian will stop moving, raise a hand and start unleashing a devastating AoE attack that can down a lot of players. He will shoot orbs constantly that deal damage that should be avoided by dodging out of red rings on the floor, but the attack can be interrupted by breaking his defiance bar. The Unbound Guardian will stop channeling this attack after a few seconds if the defiance bar is not broken.

Nearby updrafts can be used to glide indefinitely, allowing players to deal damage, apply control effects, and heal players on the ground.
