- Faint Ghostnight: I'm going to have to pick through these devourer nests until I find the best egg.
- Faint Ghostnight: Devourers must be trained immediately after hatching. Wait any longer, and they'll never obey you.
- Examining nests
- Faint Ghostnight: Negative. This devourer couldn't win a fight against a moa.
- Faint Ghostnight: This one may do well, but it falls short when compared to my old pet. How I miss Grr.
- Faint Ghostnight: This egg is a bit discolored. Not a good sign.
- Faint Ghostnight: Some devourers grow up stronger than others. No amount of training can make up for an inherent weakness.
- Faint Ghostnight: (sniff) Good weight, but it has a strange odor.
- Faint Ghostnight: Nope. This one won't live more than a few days after hatching.
- Faint Ghostnight: The best time to grab one of these eggs is a few hours before it hatches.

- Faint Ghostnight: Aha! This is the one! Just the right size. Perfect color and weight. Looks just like my old pet. I'll call him, "Grr".
- Faint Ghostnight: My new egg won't hatch for a while, and I've got vengeance to deliver. Those Flame cowards will regret messing with me.
- Faint Ghostnight: Ready for action, Rankar. I'll shoot anything that gets in front of my rifle, understand?
- Rankar Harrownight: Just make sure you're aiming at the enemy, and we won't have a problem.
