I've long wanted to make up a category like this, but how hidden is hidden? SarielV 20 x 20px 18:13, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

If it has a condition for appearing. Aka, only appears if you are female/asura/in an Order, for example. ~SimeUser Sime Maraca Choya.pngTalk 18:23, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

re: last week's reversions[edit]

I knew this was going to happen eventually.

You're going to need to outline exactly what conditions qualify as making dialogue "hidden", because quite a bit actually fits.

There are more conditions than just user-character flags that determine what an NPC will say. Not all of them are interesting; plenty are mundane. But they hide dialogue all the same. SarielV 20 x 20px 08:17, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Imho, dialogue should be only tagged as unique hidden if it appears only based on your character race, gender, profession, or Order. The dialogue you tagged on these pages are neither unique nor hidden, as every character can access them no matter who they are. Many npcs have dialogue based on what is happening around them (event, ally being downed, a place nearby contested), whereas not as many npcs change dialogue based on what I specified. Player not interacting with an npc during a specific situation is somewhat different to different character races having different dialogue all together I would say. ~SimeUser Sime Maraca Choya.pngTalk 13:47, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
Didn't care to get involved in this stuff again but since I was asked for my word...
IMO, "unique hidden dialogue" should refer to dialogue that requires re-rolling or swapping characters in order to see (or not see) in whole. This means permanent choices, whether this happens through character creation like race and gender, or through the personal story like order and greatest fear, or some other method. Events might cause NPCs to have dialogue hidden away momentarily, but it isn't truly hidden because in less than 5 minutes you can see it. Perhaps a sub-category for them e.g., "Category:NPCs with event dependent dialogue".
In regards to heart NPCs, I'd say no to including those because, aside from the sheer amount of core hearts flooding the category making navigation for the true nuggets being nigh impossible, there's a category for heart NPCs anyways (if SarielV wants, perhaps make that a sub-category of this cat or a simpler "Category:NPCs with hidden dialogue" and toss the three cats into that one), and everyone would be capable of seeing the dialogue if they chatted before completing the dialogue, so it isn't really "requiring re-roll" - the later holds true for achievement dependent dialogue, though if it's Season 1 achievements that determine the dialogue, I'd consider it an okay addition (though perhaps a sub-category for them would be better too).
