Dialogue[edit]
- Ambient dialogue at the Old Hutment Site heart vendor when the quest is available
- Warming Comfort: His reputation grows with each passing day. He's all anyone is talking about around camp!
- Vigilant Dawn: Hmmm. Is this true, Tarn?
- Chilly Tarn: It is, Vigilant Dawn.
- Chilly Tarn
- Greetings, Wayfinder. Spare a minute to listen to a rather ridiculous request?
- Sure, why not?
- Vigilant Dawn: Wayfinder. We were all just discussing the sudden popularity of a certain stuffed doll around the camp.
- Vigilant Dawn: Mr. Wiggles, was it?
- Chilly Tarn: Erm...Quiggles.
- Vigilant Dawn: Hm, yes.
- Warming Comfort: All the rage right now, he is! He's cute. He's cuddly.
- Warming Comfort: And there's even tell of him bringing good fortune and warding off disease.
- Warming Comfort: Our bearkin are frothing at the mouths for Quiggles dolls of their very own, and we must oblige!
- Vigilant Dawn: Hmmm. This could be very good for morale, that it could...
- Vigilant Dawn: Very well. Get to work on making more, Comfort.
- Warming Comfort: At once. I just need to gather the necessary supplies first...
- Chilly Tarn: That's where you come in, Wayfinder. You're a very resourceful and well-traveled sort, that you are.
- Chilly Tarn: Bringing us any materials of the Quiggles-constructing sort that you find in your travels would be of great help.
- Sorry. A bit busy.
- Farmer sitting on the hill
- Farmer: You need something?
- Are these your sheep?
- Yeah, these are mine. You wouldn't believe how much of a demand there is for wool around here, with all these adventurers running around.
- Do you think you could spare any wool?
- Sure, but I'm wiped out for the day. Work's over. If you want some wool, you'll have to shear those sheep yourself.
- Sounds like a job for an adventurer.
- Sounds like a thriving trade.
- Sorry to bother you.
- In Rata Sum near Apprentice Waypoint
- Relyor: It's finished! It's complete! My mechanical frame!
- Your what?
- My mechanical frame! It allows a puppet to hold its shape indefinitely. Quite an achievement, if you ask me.
- Could it work for a stuffed animal?
- Yes, I don't see why not. And lucky for you, I have a backup prototype. But...I don't know if you're worthy of it.
- What do I need to do?
- If you can answer my riddles correctly, I'll give you my prototype. If not, it remains with me!
- Sure, why not.
- This creature is amphibious and friendly but fearsome when enraged. They much prefer open waters over being caged. What are they?
- Quaggan. (Correct answer)
- I'm a city of great size and repute—throughout the land I am known. I'm also a hub of trade and commerce, and at my center sits a great throne. What am I?
- Divinity's Reach. (Correct answer)
- I'm a great dragon of power, terror, and grand cosmic scale. I have a fondness for crystal, and the mere sight of me turns mortals pale. Who am I?
- Kralkatorrik. (Correct answer)
- Well, I'll be. You answered every one of them correctly! Here, enjoy your frame. And, say... I have a mechanical brain to go along with it, if you're interested.
- Er, thanks, but no thanks.
- Soo-Won.
- Oops, wrong answer! Give it some thought and try again another time.
- Darn.
- Lion's Arch.
- Oops, wrong answer! Give it some thought and try again another time.
- Darn.
- Hylek.
- Oops, wrong answer! Give it some thought and try again another time.
- Darn.
- I didn't know there was going to be a test...
- There sure are a lot of strange inventions around here.
- Talk to the bear cubs sitting around Loch Lucent.
- Peeking Sunrise: Huh?
- What's your favorite kind of toy?
- I like butterflies!
- Okay, er... I'm making a toy for someone! What should I put on it?
- Wings. Wings are cool. I wish I could fly. One time I tried to make my stuffie fly, and it fell in the lake. Maw yelled at me.
- Good to know. And I'm sorry about your stuffie.
- Gentle Breeze: Do you have any snacks?
- Nope. I just want to know what your favorite toy is.
- My favorite toy? Uh...I like this one my paw made for me. It's got wings, and it makes a funny noise when you press it.
- Do the other cubs also like that toy?
- Oh yeah, they're always asking to borrow it. But it's mine! All mine!
- Don't worry, I won't take it from you.
- Laughing Brook: Whaddya want?
- I'd like to know what toys are cool in the village right now.
- Toys? Pfft. I'm too old for those.
- Are you sure about that?
- Well...there is one that has wings. It's kinda cool. But don't tell anyone I said that!
- Your secret's safe with me.
- Growing Rain: Hi, outlander!
- What kinds of toys are popular around here?
- All kinds! My brother likes the ones with wings. I like the ones that squeak. If feels like they're talking to you!
- Wings and squeaks. Got it.
- Hey, why do you wanna know this stuff, anyway?
- I'm on a very important mission!
- On the Dwayna Low Road
- Curious Merchant: You there! You look like a world traveler. Fancy a quick chat?
- Sure, why not.
- Splendid! Like I said, you look like you've been far and wide. You wouldn't happen to have any of those ursus obliges to share, would you?
- I'm not about to give you money for nothing.
- No, no, of course not! I'd of course give you something in return. How about, um...how about this squeaking device? First of its kind—makes a lovely noise when grabbed!
- I'm interested. How much do you want?
- I'll pass, thanks.
- I'm not in a buying mood right now.
- Returning to Forager's Hunt
- Chilly Tarn: Returned, you have. Worried our tone might've scared you away.
- Vigilant Dawn: Sweeter, now, Tarn. What she means to say is...
- Chilly Tarn: Good enough work, Wayfinder. Camp's shaping up nicely, under the circumstances.
- Vigilant Dawn: You certainly didn't need to help us cut weeds and collect food, but there you were. The sky watchers, too.
- Vigilant Dawn: Real kind of you.
- Warming Comfort: Wayfinder! It looks like you were able to find some fine materials. Ready to make a friend?
- Yes!
- Warming Comfort: Nearly done.
- Warming Comfort: Some padding here...a few stitches there...
- Warming Comfort: And there you have it!
- Warming Comfort: Here you are!
- Kodan Parent: Oh, my cub back home will love this! Thank you, Warming Comfort.
- Warming Comfort: Don't thank me! Thank the wayfinder here! They're the one who gathered everything needed to make it.
- Kodan Parent: Blessings upon you, Wayfinder.
- Warming Comfort: Get used to hearing that, you should.
- Warming Comfort: Mr. Quiggles is about to bring a lot more joy to this place, thanks to your deeds.
- Not yet...
Notes[edit]
- You can delete the inventory materials after collection is completed.
