Kaineng Studies 1

Cantha. I missed out on so much... Just, whoa... After all this time, huh?

In an alternate reality, it was the humans who were overtaken by their mechanized overlords. I don't know how much different "jade mechs" are from golems but these mechs are determined to keep the city free of organic life (note to self: convince Dagda to get me a real jade mech so I can pull that baby apart, just looking at those things, even in a warped version of reality, elicits an excitement in me that I haven't felt since my time at the colleges).

The technological advancement of this place is far beyond Rata Sum. Seeing this would give the Arcane Council a run for their money... I bet they lost it after Cantha opened its borders. What I'd do to be a fly on that wall...

Kaineng Studies 2

It's amazing that despite their own creation turning against them, the people of Kaineng are still surviving! Of course, it's likely the only way they're surviving is through the shared knowledge of the Speakers and the Kestrels who, even in this reality, continue to fight back. I think that says a lot about their morals; so strong, they transcend from reality to reality. And, well, they're gonna need it fighting against the Kryptis.

It's impressive that they're able to run patrols inside of the city to gain information on the construct's movement, but it's upsetting that the only way these two groups worked together is by uniting against a common foe... I should be used to it. The same happened with the Elder Dragons, after all.

Now that the Elder Dragon of the ocean is gone, maybe the world can catch a break. I'd love to see Rata Sum undergo some big changes. That place needs one heck of a system reboot.

Kaineng Studies 3

I heard that the naga were once peaceful and had a place in Cantha... After the Jade Wind, they wanted revenge for what happened to their home. Violence aside, can you really blame them for that? I can't say it's all that different from us... Primordus drove us out of our homes so I get it, in a way. Violence shouldn't be the answer, but after seeing what Rata Novus could've been? I'd probably have some words for that giant lump of molten poop, if he weren't dead.

The tengu were once hunted down by the Ministry of Purity, but they still found a way to contribute to Canthan society. If the naga worked together with the survivors, maybe things could get better from them. Here I go, getting attached to "what could've been." ...Though it does make me wonder, where are these people and creatures going to go when the Kryptis situation calms down? We can't punt them back into the Mists...
