This is...AMAZING. The technological advancements of Rata Novus are perplexing, I... I'm thrilled. They're controlling the chak and using them as a resource, not getting overrun and torn apart.

But while it brings me joy, my stomach feels like a pit... They're prospering, while we... Most of these fractals show the dangers of what could have been, but where would the asura be if we'd stayed on this path? What I'm feeling is jealousy, I think. And sadness. It makes me wonder what could have been, if I stayed behind... Just a little longer, to see what happened.

While I can see the cruelty behind using chak as a resource, the advancements they've been able to make here should benefit, could benefit, so many people. I can't expose my bias, though. The Inquest is still a thing, and if any of this is going to fall apart it might as well start with them. It always does, after all. It's just disappointing to live in a world where something that can benefit a lot of people can cause harm... But maybe I'm being naive. That's just how the world works, right? Feeling my morality a bit, is all..

The Rata Novans seem to have things under control, but for how much longer? We haven't seen how the Kryptis will affect this place, yet, but I can't imagine it going well. It never does.

After we wrap things up here for the day, Dagda is taking me with her to the observatory. Another fractal, tucked away in the islands. Apparently she and Waiting Sorrow used it as research facility... I'm just happy Dagda is bringing me along. I'm feeling more helpful now that I have in years. Like I'm a part of something bigger than me, which would have threatened me years ago. But, now... It's different.

This is almost a utopia. Most of the issues we would typically have with the chak are nonexistent. The people here are able to relax and not go crazy over trying to evacuate the city. They're thriving, even here. They don't fear these circumstances--they're excited by them.

It's almost too good to be true. The Rata Novans have been so eager to welcome the Astral Ward; they're curious about our reality and what our world has become. They know what they are and view it as an opportunity. Our world is a new adventure.

I hope there's a place for them here, in our Tyria. We could use more of what they bring. The joy of exploration, innovation... I could learn a thing or two about their joy. Though, I feel like I'm starting to again. Finally...
