Thanks for going back over all those decoration pages and getting them cleaned up and sorted! G R E E N E R 07:56, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
Warbringer Legendary WvW backpiece[edit]
Hey. Just to ask how did you verify that Warcry 4th component costs 875 tickets: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=Warbringer&diff=next&oldid=1450248
Did you know anyone who already get it?
- Hey. I added this value due to an edit of another person on Legendary Commander War Razor. It could be wrong, but the increment of a weeks obtainable tickets made perfect sense to me. — Spellforcer (talk)
Item icons[edit]
Heya, would you be able to identify any of the already uploaded items found here? - Doodleplex 08:05, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hey, I will try to. Thank you for redirecting me to the list. :) Spellforcer (talk)
- No problem, have fun! - Doodleplex 08:31, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
Ids[edit]
Hello! Here's a little resource that was given to me and I think will help you a lot! instructions for obtaining ids for items. It draws its list directly from the API. Happy editing! -- endeavor7530 09:33, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hey, thank you for linking me to these tips. I already knew some of them and used them for respective articles. I was not adding the ids you added because there should be another set of ids covering recipes in the crafting menu. Let me show you an example: Recipe: Yassith's Tassets has the id 74434, but the recipe listed in Yassith's Tassets has the id 11473. It creates a different chat link. -- Spellforcer (talk) 10:44, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, there will be three IDs for such things. It's a tad cumbersome, but it's how Anet's set it up:
- The consumable recipe sheet, which is an inventory item. - [&AgHCIgEA] - 74434
- The recipe itself, which is a game mechanic you can interact with at a crafting station. - [&CdEsAAA=] - 11473
- The item you craft, which is an inventory item. - [&AgFXLQEA] - 77143
- Trust me when I say this: You don't want to look under the hood for how Anet's handled guild hall decorations.... G R E E N E R 10:59, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, there will be three IDs for such things. It's a tad cumbersome, but it's how Anet's set it up:
- Then just as a heads up, Endeavor, the recipe on the item page should show the crafting mechanic's recipe ID, as per this edit. I find I can either get them straight from the consumable's API, or sometimes from the API's search. G R E E N E R 11:17, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for sharing the method to get to the id of the recipe. I applied it to the articles right away. -- Spellforcer (talk) 11:35, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- 👀 shameless plug. I have a website which could also make your life easier depending on a few conditions. So long as the item is not super super new (like minutes old on the API) it should have an associated item+recipe id and exist on GW2W Easy Mode. For example searching Yassith's tassets will have the containing ids. If you want more info on the project, take a peek here: User:Darqam/GW2W_Easy_Mode. Shameless plug out! -Darqam 13:55, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- perfect. Makes everyone's job a whole lot easier! I was editing a few and then they would either come up with "can't link from this location or some variant of mushroom pizza in game. I gave up and went to bed. -- endeavor7530 03:00, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
File redirects[edit]
Seeing all of those files that you've kindly moved to their real names makes me think that you should be given the user rights to a little checkbox called "Leave a redirect behind" - this way we won't need to delete the redirect since it won't be created at all. For that however you would need to request the "Extended editor" rights from one of the bureaucrats. Interested? -Chieftain Alex 16:54, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- I'm interested. This could as well save alot of laborious work for new items added through living story. -Spellforcer (talk) 17:38, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
Sandswept hearts[edit]
Hi, is there a particular reason you named two of the hearts after their objectives instead of their actual names? E.g. Hunt wild predators, exterminate pesky prairie dogs using stealth, uncover and destroy jacaranda, and feed the gazelles. --Sialor (talk) 15:55, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, I was convinced they were called this way on release day, but it can be a mistake on my end aswell. I do agree, they should be called The Hunting Grounds (heart) and Atholma Farms. Spellforcer (talk) 22:01, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
