Should we even document PvP teams? —Ventriloquist 17:20, 9 October 2016 (UTC)

I'm trying to start documenting competitive stuff, like [Pro League Season 1]. Last time I was part of the Mistpedia team, and some people from the official wiki complained that we didn't put that info on the regular wiki. I can split it to its own wiki again if that's what people want, though... Olrun (talk) 18:02, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
Leagues and competitions are fine, and are encouraged. I'm not sure on teams, though, especially since we don't document guilds or notable players in the game. —Ventriloquist 18:07, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
When we made Mistpedia, we were told all of that information could have just gone on the regular wiki. That included events, teams, and players. Mistpedia died because the people who owned the server (Kenigmatic, BLU, Android, and Sireph) moved to other games. If this information doesn't belong here anymore, I can just make another wiki again. Last time people got upset at us for it, so I figured I would try it this way first.
While I agree that the team information is important to some of our users, keeping up-to-date on their rosters etc. is outside the purview of the wiki. That's what team websites are for, and those we can most definitely link to.
If you would like to document information and keep it updated as a personal project (or with some invited help), you can create pages in your User space. Note that we generally do not link from main space articles to user space ones. G R E E N E R 18:58, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
I guess, I'll put it somewhere else, then. I just thought I'd do this first because that's what was asked of us last time. Olrun (talk) 19:51, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
Talk pages are here so we can discuss things (or apparently discussion pages are here so we can talk about things). Just because two people have raised questions about whether the page belongs where it is, doesn't mean that the page should go just yet.
I would like to hear from others. G R E E N E R 19:54, 9 October 2016 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I just found this while looking through uncategorized pages. I also don't think we should document teams, it's a bit too similar to making pages for players and guilds for me, and as Greener said, we can link to team websites if needed(I guess do so on the Pro League Season 1 page?) - Doodleplex 20:35, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

Since Greener's comment, this pretty much hasn't gone anywhere. I did a little bit of poking around and it seems there's a wiki called "Guild Wars 2 Esports Wiki" on wikia which feels like a better place for pvp teams then here. I'm thinking about moving the page to "User:Olrun/Never Lucky" in order to keep the talk page around for future reference in some case this comes up again, which at this present time seems unlikely. - Doodleplex 23:03, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
My opinion has stayed the same - and since it's been uncontested (and unedited) for half a year now, I think it would be safe to delete it. —Ventriloquist 23:20, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Heads up: The Abjured is an (effectively) identical article also tagged for deletion. --Idris (talk) 23:13, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Not quite identical, as that team no longer exists, Never Lucky as far as I can tell still does, and this page has a decent amount of content compared the blurb on the other page(that and I already deleted that page for those reasons heh). Is there any reason that it couldn't be moved to a userpage over just being deleted? - Doodleplex 23:19, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
