Champion's Crown[edit]

Hi Nash, thanks for the uploading a higher quality version of File:Champion's_Crown.jpg. As you can see, I've cropped your uploaded version to focus on just the crown itself, rather than your character and character name. I understand that might not be what you were hoping for when you uploaded it, but we prefer to keep vanity shots out of main articles when possible. However, a lot of people on the wiki have used their user pages to display their characters (DiegoDeLaHouska is a good example), so if you're looking for a public space to showcase your gear that's a great way to do it. ;) - Felix Omni 17:57, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

First of all this isn’t even me. I didn’t intend to show off anything. I asked this player if he could pose for me to take a higher quality picture of the crown because the current one is awfully bad. What is wrong with seeing the player character as well? With the champion‘s dragon it didn’t seem to be a problem. This is literally the very same version of a gizmo as the dragon one. Also it’s atleast high quality no matter if the character is on it as well or not.
I really didn’t mean any of this offensive even if it might sound this way. I‘m fairly new to editing on wiki! The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nash (talkcontribs) at 20:58, 6 September 2018‎ (UTC).
Hey. How about a logged in user crops the dragon screenshot too? that being said, I think we should keep the head of the player in the image to give a sense of scale. -94.192.221.169 21:26, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
I agree, I just noticed basically every gizmo shows the character (either full or just the head) so I really don’t understand what felix‘ issue was. It’s literally not even me on the screen so I don’t understand the accusation of showing off. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nash (talkcontribs) at 09:04, 7 September 2018‎ (UTC).
I've gone through and cropped all of the champion effect images to be similar in terms of showing the top of the character and the effect. A lot of them are really low quality so will need retaking at some point. Hopefully this is acceptable to everyone. Cheers. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 16:12, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
Apologies for jumping to conclusions on whose character it was, Nash. Generally speaking, in a screenshot we want to focus on the object of an article, so the game interface should be toggled off and non-focus elements should be cropped out for visual clarity (see Help:Uploading screenshots for details). However, I do agree that it makes sense for this type of gizmo to show a character's head as size reference. - Felix Omni 17:56, 7 September 2018 (UTC)

Automated monthly tournament gizmo reward images[edit]

Regarding your recent reverts to File:Champion's Crown.jpg, File:Champion's Dragon.jpg, File:Champion's Comet.jpg, File:Champion's Laurels.jpg and File:Champion's Moon.jpg: While I will thank you for initially uploading an image when there was none - I and other wiki editors disagree with your recent reverts. The images Incarnazeus uploaded are superior in quality and show them in a consistent way. Please refrain from reverting again. —Kvothe (talk) 15:22, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
