Mount license table

Thanks for adding the template {{tl|Mount license unlock table}} to various mount licenses tables. However, I haven't added it yet for a simple reason: the API is missing some ids, especially for the last three added mount licenses. Hence I have disabled the table again, since it doesn't provide any useful information yet.

on the contrary, it provides valuable information to me as it's a much easier way to look at which mounts have which skins. I wish you would restore it as I have been referring people to those tables to help them decide on which skins to pick from the War Eternal Package.

Doesn't it seem like a bit of a poor decision to add a template that we know has 50% of its source data in the API broken?

I found the presentation to be more helpful than default used in the wiki. It's a simple, concise table, as opposed to the Contents section which is long and bloated for just a list of names & icons. For someone who isn't sure whether they want a raptor or a roller beetle skin, the mount license table is more useful.

Maybe there's a compromise possible, by using the table format without the field for the API key.

Regarding the three mount licenses: Desert Racer Mount Select License, Exotic Breeds Mount Select License‎, Distant Lands Mount Select License‎, it's 1 mount out of 45 mounts in total. For whatever reason Painted Mesa has an id.

Sure, indeed a table is a valid display option, however the standard Guild Wars 2 Wiki way of displaying content of an item is an unordered list. Neither do I want to question this scheme nor is this the right page to discuss it. Please use the according talk pages or Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Community portal.

As an already implemented compromise, there is a costumizeable table of all mount skins: Mount#List of mount skins, allowing to display the mounts by license or pack. --Tolkyria (talk) 19:45, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
