Used Books Stall

Used Books Stall stands at the north-western edge of Lutgardis Market in New Kaineng.

Location[edit]

Cantha

Interaction[edit]

This street stall is stuffed to the brim with mounds of aging texts, most of them unlabeled. Looks like they're being offered at no charge. Could Balam Ri's lost record be buried somewhere in here?
Talk more option tango.png Maybe "Young Biran, Prince of the Luxons"?
This text describes the adventures of a ten-year-old Luxon and his trusty sidekick Nightshell the siege turtle. It sounds like it was written for children and probably isn't historically accurate.

Talk end option tango.png That's enough books for now.
Talk more option tango.png It might be "The Arrival of Palawa Joko, 1251 AE."
This one describes how Palawa Joko, the Eternal Monarch of All, used his magical power to save Cantha from devastating floods caused by the awakening of the Elder Dragon Zhaitan. That sounds fishy...

Talk more option tango.png Check "The Registry of Offenses, 1689 CC."
This surprisingly salacious book gives brutal accounting of various families that profited heavily from the short-lived Purist regime. This looks like what Balam Ri was describing.
Talk collection option.png Purchase the book.
Talk back option tango.png I want to check some of those other titles first.
Talk end option tango.png Maybe later.
Talk more option tango.png Perhaps it's "Ritualism and the Spiritual Mind."
This one is offering advice for using the ancient art of ritualism to find inner peace and relieve stress. There's no mention of magical techniques, but several suggestions for stylish blindfolds.

Talk more option tango.png It could be "The Saga of Rurik, 1040 AE."
This is about the Ascalonian prince Rurik, who lead his people to Kryta after the Searing. Several liberties have been taken to make it more exciting, including a long fight scene on Mount Maelstrom.
