Maguuma or Tarnished Coast

We have Caledon Forest and Metrica Province listed in the region of Maguuma Jungle despite the fact, that on the map of Tyria as of the 1st BWE the region is called Tarnished Coast. Souldn't this get updated? Alfa-R 08:47, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Please see Explorer which I am using to denote regions. Tarnished Coast and Steamspur Mountains are not mechanical regions, only regions in lore (I would likewise argue that Scavenger's Causeway isn't a region but probably more akin to a "zone" like Caledon Forest, despite being denoted in such a way on the map - primarily due to what a "causeway" is and how the books denote it). Sorting of regions by level+release and inclusion of cities

My reasons for the change:

• Alphabetical order for the regions, but not for the zones? That's not very consistent.
• No one is going to get lost and need to hunt for zones when we have just 9 regions, just like no one is getting lost with the zones being ordered by level+release.
• It feels weird to have most of the newly released zones (Crystal Desert, and potentially Cantha) almost at the top. It feels more natural to have them last, which means the bottom.
• Cities are technically zones and also part of map completion, so they should be included here. The {{cities nav}} is kinda pointless if you ask me too.

In my opinion this is the good middle ground. We could order the zones by level then alphabetical. —Kvothe (talk) 23:46, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

I would say the best order is:

• #1: Release (oldest first)
• #2: Level (lowest min level goes first; if there's a tie, the one with the lowest max level comes first)
• #3: Alphabetical (a-z)

For cities, we'd note down "(City)" instead of the level range. For ordering purposes, most of them can be considered levels 1-5, except Lion's Arch, which can't be entered until level 30 and would then be 30-35 instead (between Gendarran Fields and Harathi Hinterlands)

These rules would apply for both zones and regions, meaning the current region at the bottom should be Crystal Desert.--Lon-ami (talk) 00:17, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
