Talk:Water Trident
Should we be calling them attributes? The articles says nothing of attributes, just that elementalists could be attuned to different elements. -- Phnzdvn 17:50, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- we can always have a mass-move later on. so i dont see any issue with NOT doing it. --Neil2250 , The Zoologist
- I didn't really plan on making the Attribute articles, just leaving them red tbh. Things can always be changed. --aut (t) 17:53, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Sound[edit]
When I watched the Water Trident video, I noticed the really irritating sound. Especially when it was spammed. SnD'- 18:42, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- Aww, but I like that sound. It's harmonic :) If it were a clashing note or something then I would hate it, but it's soothing to the ears, so I don't mind it lol. 173.190.17.186 18:46, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Location Based?[edit]
Do you think it is coincidence that the two elementalists in the preview video were standing in a pool of water? With this new emphasis on positioning and tactics, do you think something like Water Trident will be more powerful depending on where you're standing?24.161.210.235 12:49, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- That is a very good guess; I think you may be right about that. I also wonder if some "on fire" status has a shorter duration in water, if any. 173.190.17.186 13:50, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Nope. Read the part about Water Trident. -- Arduin 15:19, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- ok so everyone knows that it doesnt matter where someone stands but the environment is gonna be interactable so what happens if you mix water+static field? does it make the damage higher?--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Getefix (talk) .

Knock Back[edit]
I think we should edit the page to say water trident is causeing knock back instead of knock down, in the video they appear to be moved backwards instead of siting at the spot where they are hit. Towlie 16:12, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
20 Second Recharge?[edit]
The two pros in the demo vid are pretty much flare spamming from the looks of it...--Ph03n1x 07:44, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah they modified the recharges for most of the skills in the demo vids so they could show them off more. The Meteor Shower vid has her casting it back to back.╺┛prʘcess.executıʘn┗╸ 08:48, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Which leads me to wonder...what have they done with exhaustion?--Ph03n1x 04:17, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Condition. Either they simply haven't showed it off, or it is gone for good. Which is fine because it was an annoying mechanic. Eive 05:01, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Considering Energy is no longer easily recovered (and we have such large pools of it now), would it be safe to assume that the most likely case is that exhaustion has been done away with? I mean, trying to get rid of a lot of exhaustion from an elementalist's energy pool would be a pure nightmare (as they could get exhaustion from all 4 attunements in one battle) making potions go like hotcakes and "down time" go like... non-hotcakes... 161.184.88.202 05:17, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Traits[edit]
The two traits, going by the naming system used with other traits, and "known" trait names (but not effects), are Improved Water Trident (healing) and Water Trident Expertise (recharge). If you look at other traits, "Improved" adds a new effect, while "Expertise" reduces cooldown. Should we just list the effects on the traits page at least awhile, or are we going to wait until somebody manages to run into a screenshot to prove that they aren't an exception? ~~ Kiomadoushi 06:27, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Logical deduction and it's close sister speculation... Read: wait for the screenshot. Aqua (T|C) 15:29, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
why[edit]
why is this now a sceptre skill -.- i wanted it on my staff Getefix 15:48, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
- Reminder: This game is still in development. Skills are subject to change. That's why it moved - they thought it was better on the scepter because of how the staff and scepter are different kinds of magical weapons. =( sorry...
- On a personal note, try to not get too attached to skills or weapons cos things can and most probably will change by launch... Like backdraft is gone, and I liked that one... But now it's become an engy Flamethrower skill, with roughly the same effect, so I doubt eles will ever get it back... ~~ Kiomadoushi 16:50, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
