Spawning rules

My initial notes on the conditions Veteran Dominion Supply Wranglers can spawn under seem incomplete. I've now seen the following unexpected cases:

• Wolf's Crossing wranglers spawning during the Wolf's Crossing battle.
• The Wolf's Crossing -> Breakroot Basin wrangler, still alive and patrolling after the capture of Wolf's Crossing and Dominion's Breach.
  • This one eventually respawned after I killed it (while Wolf's Crossing was still under United Legions control), but I either missed it spawning or I've got the spawn point wrong. More investigation pending.
• A lone Pack Marmox standing by  Wolf's Crossing Bridge — for the whole duration of the north meta. I was late to join the map so I didn't get to see what caused this case.
  • During the map closing timer, when Dominion reclaims the bases, its wrangler was able to respawn, I think as soon as Wolf's Crossing was recaptured (again, unclear).

I'll keep investigating and try to understand these cases better. If anyone else has some notes on when and where they've seen wranglers/marmoxes spawn, that'd be appreciated. Not general locations, mind you, which I think we've completed: rather, specific edge cases like "the base was captured but the wrangler still spawned" and so on.

So it seems as though the 3 Wolf's Crossing wranglers are blocked from spawning before the battle, when their bases are captured. During the battle for Wolf's Crossing, all 3 will be able to spawn, and probably die in the crossfire. After the battle, once north meta has started, the WC -> Leadfoot Village and WC -> Lighthouse Point wranglers don't spawn. However, the WC -> Breakroot Basin wrangler seems to spawn throughout the north meta (possibly at a lower rate/longer delay?). Heillos (talk) 07:46, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

Spent some time watching the Fort Defiance -> Vloxen Mine wrangler. Respawn times for the wrangler were within the typical 3-5 minutes. The marmox never respawned after the first time I killed the wrangler, though.

Also noted: when it fled (that is, after Vloxen Mine was captured), I tried damaging it to see if it would engage in combat. It didn't - they keep on running to the escape point even if you damage them. Heillos (talk) 09:57, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
