Unique Ability[edit]

While I was getting a screenshot for this creature, I noticed that when they attack you they apply the unique condition "Covered in Cave Beast Spit" which creates an aoe field on you that stays on you as you move and damages allies in it. This condition seems like the kind of thing that may warrant its own page, but I'm not particularly tech savvy and I don't really know the best way to go about creating an npc unique ability. If anyone reading this article is more adept at the wiki than me and feels like such a page, be my guest.

P.S- Since this same condition calls them "Cave Beasts", I might create a separate page for this mob and the Cave Screamer. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Falren (talkcontribs) at 23:58, 26 February 2016 (UTC).

That effect name is actually why I changed the species name to Cave Beast. I'm fairly sure that the so-called "Vampire Beasts" are of the same species - iirc, they hang close to one another - but there's no real way to tell I guess. And yes, the effect - like all effects - merits its own page (it's only creature skills that don't, since there are dozens that are merely basic attacks like Claw, Punch, Kick, Stab, etc.). Edit:I saw an edit to this page, thought it was the comment, turns out it was just someone adding the signature. Need to bloody pay more attention. Konig 21:32, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
Relating to the above question, Vampire Beast and Cave Beasts are not the same. The official Anet stance is: "In spite of the fact that they often occupy the same kind of terrain, Vampire beasts and cave beasts are not the same species—the vamps are more mammalian and the cave beasts more reptilian." So they're just buddies. - Doodleplex 17:21, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
