Dialogs I have typed in are after Society Function quest. For what happens after Search the Premises refer to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1pWGXoU7h0&feature=plcp Gorribal 21:22, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Minister's Only[edit]

If any of you have been pushed around by those annoying guards (Halt citizen!) and want to get some back, you can actually dodge past them with your endurance rolls, which is fun, because then you can freely walk in the minister's section, all the while thumbing your nose at the guards. Fun! This potentially should make it to a trivia section in the main page of this article imo. Why? Because its trivia. Puk 03:40, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Countess Anise[edit]

I don't make things up when I put them on the wiki; all the things I add are experiences that actually happened to me. When I completed this mission on my Thief, I was still a really inexperienced player and so I spent most of this fight running away and just trying to stay alive. Anise was taking tons and tons of damage in my stead. I can testify 100% truthfully that there were multiple times when, after taking so much damage that her health bar was fully depleted, she would stop fighting and just hobble around helplessly rather than being downed/defeated. If you've played Skyrim and tried to kill an important NPC that has plot armor, you know what this looks like. Eventually Anise would recover to about half health and resume combat.

Now, I'll grant two possibilities. One, Anise might be super tough and so it could be the case that she was never legitimately downed/defeated, and some other strange game mechanic was in play. But I doubt this because she's a squishy Mesmer, and even Logan the tanky Guardian often goes down during personal storyline missions. Two, Anet might have changed things since I completed the mission, so my experience is no longer relevant. This is more possible, because I did this mission really early on - probably even during Headstart, before the official release of the game, and there have been several patches since then.

I would also like to add that during The Commander, one of the other end-of-chapter personal storyline missions, Anise and/or Logan are claimed (by other players) to be similarly "determined" and unable to be downed/defeated; they'll win the fight for you eventually and all you have to do is stay alive. I only played through that mission once and I decided to fight offensively rather than defensively, so I can't say whether that's true or not...there was too much going on during the battle for me to pay attention, but after it was over there wasn't anyone for me to revive, at any rate. But it clearly shows I'm not the only one who has experienced something like this.

Unfortunately I don't have any more new characters right now that would let me test The Trial of Julius Zamon again. Because I believe in verifying things before correcting others, I'm not going to undo the anon's revision of what I wrote. But I would appreciate it if someone else could confirm that Anise can now be downed/defeated, because that was certainly not the case when I played. (Also I don't like being paranoid thinking that my memory is that bad at my age.) Thanks. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 20:07, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Ministry Guard Reth - missing in action?[edit]

I can't confirm because blah blah blah personal story not repeatable, but some anon(s) have written that this second is no longer available. I'm pretty sure that you can never take him anyway if you didn't choose the "go to Minister Wi's party" choice (A Society Function), so that could be one explanation. But if he has legitimately disappeared, then that would be a bug, and hopefully Anet is aware of it. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 22:57, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

Today I went to the party, and during the trial had the option to choose Reth. 192.168.104.79 15:27, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

This doesn't strike anyone ?[edit]

This law ? The right to take arms and fight to defend oneself ? That's a great law to defend people with power and to give culprits a chance to get away with their crimes, especially against people who can't defend themselves against big warriors (I was about to say such as children and women, but hell even men can't fight on equal stand against an experienced soldier). This isn't right at all ! How could such a law be ever edicted (and worse than that, never be deleted, especially in a country with such a long story as Kryta) ? Well, I guess the story won't be changed now but that point has always been illogical to me.--93.25.120.137 23:21, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Trial by combat isn't so antiquated, especially with the humans putting such weight into their deities. G R E E N E R 23:52, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
