Region Name[edit]

Whilst this map is, mechanically speaking, a Crystal Desert map, it lore-wise is outside of the desert in Elona. Whilst 'The Desolation' is the region of the map according to GW1, it should perhaps instead be refereed to as the 'Sulfurous Wastelands' as marked as the regional name by GW2's in-game map.

Given Ember Bay (to my knowledge) is technically marked as a Heart of Magumma map yet refereed to as a Ring of Fire zone, I think it would be more consistent to instead refer to the map by its in-lore region rather than mechanical.

Locations and boundaries change as time goes on. Could this be the same thing happening here? The current boundaries are derived from the API. This would be a good thing to add in notes. Anzenketh (talk) 20:39, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

Leaving the playable area[edit]

I was on my skyscale at the Djinn Enclave and I flew up to the floating pillars with the waterfalls, and from there was heading towards Joko's Domain. As I flew off I started to ascend, and almost immediately recieved the message about leaving the playable instance, followed by immediate death. As I was still completely well with the North, South, East and West boundaries, my assumption was I reached an upper map limit. I tested this assumption, and added 3 more deaths to my total. Not sure if this is a bug or just the shortcomings of a pre skyscale map, but up until now I never knew there was an upper limit. Magua.4978 (talk) 16:37, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
