Item stats?[edit]

You can pick multiple different prefixes, but I don't know which ones you can pick. Psycho Robot (talk) 17:35, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
Checked my Tempered Spinal Blades, you can get Apothecary, Berserker's, Berserker's and Valkyrie, Cavalier, Celestial, Cleric's, Dire and Rabid, Knight's, Precision & Power & Toughness (this one has no name), Rabid, Rabid and Apothecary's, Rampager's and Soldier's. I tried adding the table to the page but it just looked odd with the prefixes being called "At celestial", etc. PurebladeProductions (talk) 10:48, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
The Celestial stats are wrong. Each stat gets +24 each, not +25, but I can't figure out how to edit the main page.

Alternate combine direct to infused (colored) version[edit]

If you're going to make one of the colored versions (e.g. Synergistic) you can shortcut the process and go straight to the infused version - saving 20x Crystalline Dust and 4 Elonian wine by skipping the interim step. [Tempered Spinal Blades, 10x xxxx Assault Cores, Glob of Coagulates Mists Essence, and Gift of Ascension] If someone wants to go try to format that without confusing the table all to hell, fire away. Otherwise it'll be our little secret, person-who-reads-discussion-tab. Now don't say I never did anything for you, GW2 Wiki. 216.114.243.162 22:10, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

So there's two recipes to produce Dynamic Tempered Spinal Blades? And they are:
Is this right? Psycho Robot (talk) 22:20, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
The recipe on the left worked for me for Static/Syngergistic (red/green) backpieces. 50.131.101.150 18:57, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

binding?[edit]

so wait... previous version (the lv 80 one) is soulbound (actually soulbound) while all others including this one is only account bound? or does all of them just have in-game description anomalies? 67.233.98.17 03:59, 19 July 2014 (UTC)

Yes, all non-ascended versions are Soulbound on Use. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 04:09, 19 July 2014 (UTC)

The celestial stats are wrong. It is 28 of each stat and not 13. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 121.247.231.37 (talkcontribs) at 06:36, 25 June 2016‎ (UTC).

Thank you for pointing this out. I figured out how to fix it --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 08:40, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

Changing colours[edit]

While looking at the recipes, I'm wondering something: if I want a coloured version of the backpack (dynamic, static or synergetic), do I have to use the plain Tempered Spinal Blades, or can I switch from Dynamic blades to Synergetic blades, for instance? Since they're all called "Tempered Spinal Blades", I'm wondering if they count as the same object. (I do not have the backpack so it's just a theoretical question.) 126.196.45.225 10:20, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

I believe that you can only convert Tempered to one of the three colours (red, blue or green). If you want to unlock all three colours then you have to start from the basic backpack each time - you can't convert red to green etc. -149.254.235.42 11:54, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

Mystic Forge (Conduit) not recognizing the recipe[edit]

When using the Mystic Forge CONDUIT on my level 20 I put the required materials in to make the Tempered Spinal Blades it is not recognizing it but greying out some of the materials. Even if I select them anyway it is not letting me make it.

See image:

User KatieBoom CraftingTemperedSpinalBlades2018.jpg

HOWEVER! Crafting it in the REAL Mystic Forge on my level 80 showed it all. I have not verified if the issue is with the Conduit or the level of the crafter.

KatieBoom (talk) 20:48, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Did you try just closing/opening the conduit and/or selecting the items in a different order? The Mystic Forge is sometimes really picky about that, for no good reason (it's mentioned under Mystic forge#Notes).
(I wonder if this backpiece is particularly vulnerable to the problem for whatever reason, or if the note on this page is just here because the MF bug wasn't widely known at the time this thing was added?) -- Dagger (talk) 21:06, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
Dagger, if you mean the bug note, it appears the above user just added it. And based on my own version, I second what you said, the conduit acts just like the Mystic Forge and sometimes is weird about the order that items go in, meaning I'm not sure the bug note is really warranted. - Doodleplex 21:20, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
I read the page you mentioned and I did put them in different orders and had reopened the Conduit but didn't work. I did NOT however log out and back in and when I went to another character I went straight to a level 80 who was in Lion's Arch. So I don't know if the issue is just with the Conduit itself or one of the many other different factors that could have been the reason here such as different character in general or the act of going to character screen and back in (be it a different character in my case) or what.KatieBoom (talk) 22:32, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
Oh, must have missed one of the diffs somehow, I thought the first version of that notice had been there for years (in fairness, I'm pretty sure we do have other pages with that warning floating around). It does sound like this is probably the general MF problem rather than something specific to this backpiece. -- Dagger (talk) 23:24, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
