Should this be edited to mention don't bother trying to use if you are an engineer? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.78.166.19 (talkcontribs) at 22:51, 26 November 2013 (UTC).

We seem to have mixed precedents: Rune of the Soldier includes a note listing the classes that have shouts, but I see no similar note on e.g. Rune of the Necromancer, despite Fear being available to only a few professions. Personally, I think a note mentioning that engineers do not have signet skills would be reasonable (if it's in a neutral tone), but I also think it would be reasonable not to mention it—all rune sets are bad for some builds, and if someone is foolish enough to build a rune set that triggers on X without bothering to consider whether their build even uses X, I don't think anything we put on a wiki page is going to protect them from themselves. --Felbryn (talk) 23:38, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
It's more appropriate to make a wikilink to the signet page, as you're assuming the reader doesn't know which professions have signets and they can find out what professions do and what those signets do.--Relyk ~ talk < 01:17, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Signet of Inspiration[edit]

Do we know if the Aegis triggers before or after signet use? Asking for my wannabe-Guardian Mesmer. --Ph03n1x (talk) 04:14, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Answer: It triggers regardless of actual signet use, so you can cancel the signet if it has a cast time and you will still get aegis. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.177.44.198 (talkcontribs).
