Map event[edit]

I made and added a map, just like it was for the Halloween Race pages. I hope it'll help and that I did nothing wrong. Map added here and there: Prepare for a race around Divinity's Reach -- MornJack User MornJack icosign.png 20:33, 17 December 2017 (UTC)

Thank you very much, you did it perfectly! —Ventriloquist 20:32, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Wow ! Thank you ! I still think this map is not perfect, but if i do any minor changes i'll keep them for myself. I don't think it's necessary to change the last one again. Anyway, thanks a lot for your message. It makes me want to invest more here. -- MornJack User MornJack icosign.png 12:00, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

Snow Drifter with rented mount[edit]

Does anyone know if it's possible to get this achievement with a rented raptor? I tried so many times, but was always short at least around 4-5 seconds. I guess aside of the lack of mount skills there's also that large jump down the slope - with rented raptor one can't risk getting enough damage to get dismounted, as one rent is only valid for one "mounting". -- Kazerniel (talk) 00:08, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

I think it should be possible - even though the rented raptor uses the mastery if you have it unlocked, I just tried it with small, scarce jumps, and was able to finish it with +-10s left. About the jump I wouldn't be that affraid, jumping from the highest point left my char (7,3k HP+-) on more than 1/3 HP. Sime (talk) 00:31, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
Tried again, jumped from the highest point and all, and still was 3-4 sec short. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong... Would love to see a video proof of completion with a rented mount, because frankly, it seems impossible :/ -- Kazerniel (talk) 21:34, 31 December 2017 (UTC)
One question: are you waiting until you reach half endurance before leaping? Each leap uses an amount of endurance simply to do it at all, before determining how far you go, so if you use leaps that aren't full distance you lose efficiency --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 22:53, 31 December 2017 (UTC)
I think I tried it both ways, first with full-bar jumps, other runs with continuous little jumps. -- Kazerniel (talk) 04:45, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
As I said, Kazerniel, I have max Raptor mastery unlocked and have the max leaps, so I can't really replicate the race as someone who has just the rented mount. Sime (talk) 00:17, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
I didn't specifically mean you to replicate it, just in case someone with a rented mount manages it, or comes across a video of it online. -- Kazerniel (talk) 04:45, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
I reached the finish line in less than 3 minutes, with a rental mount. Here the only proofs i got. 2 screens, taken at the end of the race. You can see on it my experience bar (https://imgur.com/CDWyU9m). It's the UI before you buy any extension. I didn't own HoT or PoF during Wintersday. Sorry because it's in french, but you can easily translate the achievement name in the right corner here: https://imgur.com/AFZzZ9t It's the one you want to succeed. Now, my advices for next year. First, know the path like if you want to do it with your eyes closed ! You must know the color of every single flower on the road ! I mean that you must know every shortcut. I've run that race a lot on foot before to rent any raptor. After that you can pretend trying with the dinosaur. Every second is important so, use your space bar every time you can. But don't spam it. It's useless. 2 big jumps and a half. When your endurance bar is half again, use it. Each time you can earn centimeters, use it (to climb hills up or down). Use it to jump over the roof at the Plaza of Kormir and in the stairs going to the western Commons. It's very important. Then you got it. I hope i was clear and helpful. Five tries, that's all what i needed. Never seen a raptor in my life before this race. But i repeat: i did the race a lot without raptor before. That's the real key.-- MornJack User MornJack icosign.png 18:00, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, nice job :) -- Kazerniel (talk) 11:13, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

How often?[edit]

How often is this run? Daddicus (talk) 01:58, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

Seems to start 15 minutes after the last race has ended. - Doodleplex 02:42, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
OK, thanks! Daddicus (talk) 05:24, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
