Order[edit]

The order has been verified.

Devourer > Parasite > Captain > Prisoner > Drake > Mage

After staying almost a whole day in the same map instance, it is clear the order is always the same. But the starting point depends on the start of that instance of the map, so switching map instances often results in being at a different point of the list.

What's left to verify is which one is the first on the list in a new instance, or even if there's one that is the first. Maybe the first one is random, or depends on the previous meta event.

What's for sure is that the order is fixed. If you stay in the same map instance and do not press "Volunter" unconsciously without remembering you did, they will stay in the same order. Mith🌟Talk 02:13, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

The trouble is that you stayed in one single map instance. What about switching to a new instance and staying there to see if it has the same order as the one from your original map? What about trying tomorrow, in case it changes from day to day? When I did it yesterday (28th), I recall getting Prisoner → Devourer. This IP's edit indicates the same. It seems very likely that there's more than one sequence. —Idris User Idris signature.png 02:46, 30 January 2020 (UTC)
I got Parasite (after concert), Devourer (effigy), Drake (Doomlore), Mage (Ooze Pits), Captain (concert), and Devourer (effigy), Prisoner (Doomlore), Parasite (Ooze Pits), Mage (concert) Last one is as of time of this post. --Messenger (talk) 12:05, 30 January 2020 (UTC)
What's for sure is that if you stay in the same instance, all 6 appear in a row. Mith🌟Talk 22:46, 30 January 2020 (UTC)
Agreed. Just checking: once all six have come up within a given instance, does the same sequence repeat, or will it reset and start a new sequence? Your comments seem to imply the former, but I want to be sure I understand your findings, since it'll help us determine if the sequence is generated with the map or with events. —Idris User Idris signature.png 03:42, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
Ok, I just did a six hour (ie three full meta cycles) champion run, and my findings don't match yours at all. I was on the same IP (18.185.134.201) the entire time, and although I never had the same champ back-to-back, I had loads of repeats before the full set of six showed up. Results, starting with Ooze Pit: parasite > captain > mage > parasite > broodmother > prisoner > captain > mage > devourer > broodmother > mage > parasite. —Idris User Idris signature.png 07:00, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
Just finished another six hour run. Again, I stayed in the same IP the whole time (18.184.241.116). This one was weird, because it was almost a perfect, repeating pattern, except it randomly skipped parasite on the second run. I have no idea what's going on with these damn spawns now! Results, starting with Ooze Pit: broodmother > mage > captain > prisoner > parasite > devourer > (daily reset) broodmother > mage > captain > prisoner > devourer > broodmother. —Idris User Idris signature.png 02:56, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Back when I investigated these at Grothmar's release, the order was largely random and it took me almost a week to encounter the mage. In that instance, the Flame meta had failed. I wouldn't insist that is relevant. SarielV 20 x 20px 19:13, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
It was prisoner (metal concert) > parasite devourer (effigy) > devourer on my map just now. --Hesione (talk) 22:38, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
