Untested recipe does not work[edit]

The following recipe is not accepted by the Mystic Forge: 1 Eldritch Scroll + 100 Mystic Coin + 250 Glob of Ectoplasm + 250 Orichalcum Hammer Head If a screenshot is required, please let me know and I will provide one as soon as I can. Thanks. --75.97.30.192 17:12, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

Titan's Vengance[edit]

Using the recipe 1 scroll + 50 coins + 50 destroyer lodestones + 50 molten lodestones I had hoped to recipe one of the two items listed for that recipe, I got Titan's Vengeance instead, still happy with that.

Didn't take a screenshot because I'm an idiot, thought you all might want to know anyway.

Do not use a recipe.[edit]

Instead of using recipes for this page I think we should use a table. Using a recipe will have too many calls. We might even be able to put the page back on the main page if we don't use the recipe. Anzenketh 13:48, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

The descriptions of the weapons should be on their own page[edit]

Weapon descriptions should be on their own page. The header of the recipe will create a link for you. Template:Item_infobox could be used to create the page.Anzenketh 16:34, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Can we separate in to weapon types?[edit]

Easier to read and work out which is which etc.. Xanthian 15:18, 29 September 2012 (UTC)

It might just be me, but I don't think there will be enough weapons to justify separating by weapon type. I recently alphabetized the list, which should aid in reading it and trying to find specific items. MS 23:09, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Funny enough, I recently made a list of named Exotic weapons (presumably only obtainable from the Forge). Assuming around half of them are randomly obtained with four exotics, and the other half are craftable recipes, that's still over 100 recipes, or 5 per weapon type. At the very least, since this list can be sorted by weapon type, I don't think that's actually a very big problem. Sanzath 20:01, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
If by five per weapon type, you mean 40 foci and 3 per weapon type, that sounds about right. MS 20:29, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
D'oh. Yeah, foci are pretty disproportionate for the moment, my guess is Anet was making a bunch of weapon models without thinking about weapon type, then when they came down to sorting them, they realized how many they accidentally made that only fit focus (I'm going to hit you with this voodoo doll!) Sanzath 04:07, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

Jormag's Breath of Ice Recipe[edit]

I put in 3 of the 4 required materials and the fourth one was greyed out. Glacial Lonestones and Orichalcum Sword Blades cannot be used together in the Mystic Forge. Akula 18:11, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

If that's the case, then I removed the list element. I'm pretty sure someone assumed it was the recipe, or got it from word of mouth (I remember reading speculation on its recipe somewhere else). Or it could have been hilts, did you try that? Sanzath 04:11, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
I believe Corrupted Lodestones are the key (rather than Glacial). I'm sure there's confirmation of that somewhere; should be re-added to the list. 192.168.104.79 17:57, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

Soulbound, Account Bound, On Use?[edit]

Are any of these Soulbound on acquire or account bound? I would try some of the unknown recipes unless there was a chance I wasted 50 skill points and lots of gold on something I can't use, sell or transfer to another character. 192.168.104.83 18:18, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

No idea. So far, it seems that items come out bound on use. I've only been able to check one personally, but I would believe we'd see notes/tons of QQ'ing all over if items were coming out of the forge account/soulbound. If anyone else can confirm on other weapons though, that would be awesome, --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:BladeArrowney (talk).
Seeing as how a large number of these items appear on the Trading Post, it is reasonable to assume that all weapons come out as Soulbound on Use. MS 20:41, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

Wall of the Mists / Lidless Eye[edit]

I added Wall of the Mists yesterday and saw today that it has been replaced with Lidless Eye. Some people are getting Wall of the Mists with the same recipe. I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional. Source : original thread video. I'm not sure how to notate this on the weapon list. Irkm Desmet 07:37, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

I had heard about this. I'll try editing the page to make it noticeable. -- MS 13:21, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

Dreadwing[edit]

I'm no good at editing or making pages, but the recipe for 1 Eldritch Scroll, 10 Mystic Coin, 10 Small Ancient Haft, 10 Onyx Lodestone yields an axe by the name of Dreadwing. Same stats as those for the Dreadwing page, with a superior sigil of hobbling.Da Kenster 01:14, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

I saw that on the TP and was wondering what the recipe for that was. Thanks for the info, I'll add it to the page! -- MS 01:17, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Bows[edit]

Where the hell are they? Felix Omni Signature.png 23:34, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

There aren't many. Aether (Spirit Weapon shortbow), the Spirit Weapon Longbow, and the Elementalist Bow of Ice are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head that should have a recipe in the MF. There might be an ectoplasm bow too, but I can't remember it. -- MS 23:38, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Maces[edit]

Anyone got any ideas for maces? I've been playing around with the forge, but not finding anything. It's likely that the recipes are going to be odd, because nothing really combines with ori mace heads. Anyone got any leads? BladeArrowney 16:33, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

Both Bramble Morningstar and Arcing Mace aren't in the TP yet. We could try to see if Gift of Nature or Lightning fit with mace parts. -- MS 07:06, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
There should also be a mace with the wrench skin out there, likely has a mf recipe as well. And try ancient small hafts, those do work though they are also used for at least 1 axe recipe. Marth Reynolds 10:37, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
All the ancient small haft recipes seemed to come up as axes, whether intended or not we can't be sure. I tried playing around with scroll + coins + ori mace head + ???, but couldn't find anything that would go with it (other than the mystic mace recipe).
Eh. About this. Arcing Mace and Bramble Morningstar are PvP weapon skins, so of course they're not on the TP. The wrench (Fixer Upper) is one of the random recipes. So really, there doesn't seem to be any maces. Sanzath 21:20, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
I disagree with this statement so much. All skins available in PvP are available in PvE, this has been stated time and time again by the devs. What I think really needs to happen is we need to collect some of the more exotic materials (vial of liquid flame, gift of light, gift of lightning, etc) and start playing around with those with more combinations. That and other types of lodestones

Infusions[edit]

Tested the recipe with mystic coin, ancient bone, eldritch scroll, karka shells - if produced a Vital Infusion. Just wanted to share this information since I am a total wiki noob and can't edit the page properly.

I can confirm this recipe produces the Vital Infusion item. It gives +5 Vitality and +5 Agony Resistance. Da Kenster 15:33, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

I used 250 shell, 20 coin, 1 scroll, 100 t6 totem, and I got the Healing Infusion, which is +5 healing power +5 AResistance

Quality[edit]

Currently, all the table headers say "Exotic Created", but the items listed aren't all of Exotic quality anymore (the back items are Ascended, and I believe the infusions are all Fine). I'm thinking we should change the headers to say "Item Created", and add a new column for item quality.

I'd do this myself, but I have no idea how the current column widths were chosen, so I'm not sure what width I should use for a new column or whether/how the existing ones should be modified... --Felbryn 22:55, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

I'll change it asap :)--Landon144 12:06, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Mystic Forge Rifles[edit]

Are there any exotic rifles that can be made through this? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.66.215.175 (talkcontribs).

No, arenanet singled out rifles as being the only weapon type you can't make at the forge. The legendary rifle's precursor involves a long and difficult road of 50,000 karma, killing 250 Giant Risen Chickens, and running from Caledon Forest to Iron Marches by strafing.--Relyk ~ talk > 05:22, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
There's Mystic Rifle.pngMystic Rifle (for reasons not entirely clear to me, the mystic weapons aren't listed on the same page as all the other mystic forge

weapon recipes). --Felbryn 06:24, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Feasts[edit]

I can't find anywhere on the wiki now which lists how many elonian wine., etc, you need now to create feast recipes'. would it be more useful to have a range rather than x. like 1-17 I know 17 is the max you need for a level 80 recipe. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 19:29, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Sure, the x was just a placeholder anyway. If you have more information about the recipes, feel free to add it in. User Noxx Sig.png 20:23, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Armor Recipe Crystal/Coin/Wine Quantities[edit]

Similar to above Feasts comment, it would be more useful to have something beyond 'x' for these. Since this is literally this first time I've ever visited the edit window of a wiki, I thought it best to simply leave the information I've discovered here and maybe someone will take it and run with it. My basis for the formulas is through a quick analysis of the amounts required with 5 different chest pieces - 20 Masterwork, 25 Fine, 30 Fine, 35 Rare, and 65 Rare.

Results that fell out: Crystals Req = (0.2*Lvl)+2. Coins Req = (0.6*Lvl)-4. Wines Req = Floor(Lvl/30) + 1.

I didn't notice any dependency on quality, only level. If someone out there has a datapoint refuting these formulas, please let me know. --130.76.32.49 15:51, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Exotic Armor Box Recepies: 1 Coat (of the type you want), 50 Mystic Coins, 20 Crystals, 5 Wines. This doesn't quite fall into the formula above, but I think this and the Rare box info are probably the most useful. (I also just found this spreadsheet that has a lot more results than are here at the wiki https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvQFBweLyTK7dGNoTm1oWVI2NkkwY2VlTlZINURPeWc#gid=2 Tarix (talk) 06:17, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Could the results in that spreadsheet be incorporated into the wiki? It's behind a login wall, and under no circumstances what-so-ever am I creating a google account...86.20.65.68 04:43, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

Wintersday Tonic/Gift Recipe[edit]

A guildie pointed me to the forums where an anet team member pointed out a new mystic forge recipes for the Wintersday Tonics. Unfortunately, I've thrown the recipe in only 20 times and have only gotten the gift out so I am not sure if it should be noted on this page or the general Mystic Forge page. None the less, here is the link: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/New-Mystic-Forge-Recipe I, also, don't know how to sign an entry, so I'll leave my GW2 username if you need to contact me about it -- Allisondellue 14:54 17 December 2014 (EST)

Feedback 2016/07/20[edit]

The Mystic Forge Conduit appears under Removed Recipes, but going to each item seems to indicate that the conduit can still be forged. I wonder if anyone has any insight into this. Should the individual items also indicate that the conduit can no longer be forged or is the recipe still valid in which case should it be removed from Removed Recipes? --198.84.237.21 14:15, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

The combination can be disabled. Have you actually tried to make the thing? SarielV 20 x 20px 14:36, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Well, the page for Mystic Forge Conduit itself says that the ingredients were removed (on 25 Sept 2012), but then added back into the game (on 23 June 2015), although the recipe now technically produces a Mystic Forge Conduit (container), which is different in that it can be sold on the trading post until it's used. I haven't tested (it seems expensive), but it looks like this page just hasn't been updated to reflect the item's un-removal. --Felbryn (talk) 16:06, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Yes the Mystic Forge Conduit (container) recipe works. We could perhaps make that the main page without the suffix. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 20:22, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
