Just to point out, it is currently NOT worth purchasing this item. The gold cost for this item, exceeds the actual TP cost of any item produced (unless it can produce the exotic versions). 86.25.107.236 00:36, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

Can this make the Lucky Monkey Lantern?[edit]

Could somebody with the appropriate ingredients test if this item can be used to make a Lucky Monkey Lantern in the same way it can make a Lucky Ram Lantern? -- Dashface User Dashface.png 18:05, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

Did a quick trial, and I was not able to put two Lucky Rooster Lanterns into the forge at the same time. There may be an alternate recipe, but I don't know what it is. G R E E N E R 21:58, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
Given what the item description says, I'd put that on the page as bug. —Azurem 22:41, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
I just tried and the mystic forge lets you put 2 Rooster Lanterns + green Luck + something. So the recipe is in the game now. I don't really want to waste that much gold testing it though, sorry. I added it to the lantern pages with a verify tag. —Azurem 15:16, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
Yay for updates. I'll do a test in a bit. Who doesn't want another monkey? G R E E N E R 18:43, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

The last item is NOT a Memory of the Zodiac.... Order matters, and there appears to be other recipes which the MF wants. 2 Lucky Roosters, 10 green luck and Memory of the zodiac give Lucky Monkey Lantern. G R E E N E R 19:01, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
What about Lucky Ram Lantern? It says "a previous year's backback" not "the previous year's backpack" so I assumed it was a random one. —Azurem 19:18, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
Volunteers to try it again? It may be the case that Rooster --> Monkey --> Ram is the way the recipes are to work, but that's speculation. G R E E N E R 19:23, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

(Reset indent) At the moment the page shows the rooster statue is used for both previous years with the same recipe. Does this mean there is RNG involved in which one you get?-Darqam 15:14, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

I assumed that was the case from the description of this item but it's still unconfirmed, Greener only tested the recipe once and it doesn't look like anyone else wants to spend almost 10g per attempt. —Azurem 15:44, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, that description is rather ambiguous. I prefer documenting what we know, and dealing with the potential surprise of two roosters --> ram later. G R E E N E R 16:13, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
