Talk:List of hidden achievements
I know style and formatting is probably wrong but I tried to give a start to this page, I agree that the wiki should have some kind of way to look up hidden achievements. Probably even some property part of the achievement template? Since it could not be a category, because not all of these achievements have their own page, I started with this list.
The list is based of the reddit thread that gave me the idea. I also did a search in the wiki for 'hidden achievement' to make sure to get any mentioned in the wiki already.
Two achievements mentioned were not added to the list because I was able to verify that they are not in fact hidden achievements: Speedy Reader and Dispersed Anomaly, I do not have any of these 2 achievements done but they do appear in my achievement UI panel. --KillerRabbit.1946 (talk) 01:01, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- If all you want is a list of hidden achievements. I pulled a full list from the API and recorded them here. At the moment there is no clear-cut separation between the categories, but since they are listed in order of increasing id, they should be in some semblance of order. The list is formatted for default event links, but that can evidently be changed. -Darqam 01:31, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- Now with headers: tada. -Darqam 02:11, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- Somehow I forgot all about the hidden collection achievements, so I was not aware this would start a monumental list, sorry :P
- Thanks for pulling the list from the API, I was not aware the API let you know which achievement was hidden and which one was not. I looked up the achivement properties and found no clear 'hidden', is it 'IgnoreNearlyComplete'? Or are you figuring out which are hidden using some other property? (just curious). --KillerRabbit.1946 (talk) 03:27, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- You need to look for the "hidden" flag. For example look at A Sweet Friend achievement. Notice it has the "PvP", "hidden", and "category display" flags. The "hidden" one is the one you care about to know if it's hidden in one way or another. -Darqam 03:50, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- Oh I was looking at API:2/achievements#Response and the hidden flag is not there. It seems editing is not open there, do you know anyone who could update that? Also, I think it's strange A Sweet Friend appears as hidden, specially being the meta, I don't think it was hidden this last Halloween, at least I think I remember seeing it before completing it. Perhaps festival metas always get the hidden flag after the festival is over? I'll check this Wintersday... --KillerRabbit.1946 (talk) 23:46, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

According to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/5nk72j/reddit_lets_find_the_hidden_rifts_achievement_and/dci4f7h/?st=iy0lck1q&sh=55006829
If I correctly understand the information out there, this undiscovered achievement could have been released in any one of the updates from the Burden of Choice update and before. (Or any update before that dev's post on Mon 16 Jan 2017.)
It's not related to the Class II Rift Stabilizer stuff.
But we have to "think of some other anomalous energy signature", with anomalous in italics for some reason. --138.75.230.51 17:29, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

missing shattered observatory and living world season 4 hidden achievements
Feedback 2020/02/12[edit]
Would be nice to have the API key filter for completed achievements that appears on other achievement pages added to this one.
- I've modified Widget:Account achievements to allow variations to the CSS rules (instead of tables we could apply it to lists) - I still need to modify the wrapper template Template:Account achievements widget, but once I've done that we should be able to tweak this list to hide completed achievements. -Chieftain Alex 07:52, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
- Good news, all done! -Chieftain Alex 18:42, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Minor bug, but the "The Rise and Fall of Kookoochoo" achievement description doesn't get fully greyed out when you input an API key from an account that has completed it, like this : https://i.imgur.com/0MQRpnG.png . --79.88.104.182 01:44, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- the sic tag splits the line item into two elements; a span with a data-attribute which gets targeted correctly, and a second italic element which misses the attribute because it's rendered separately. solution is probably to remove the sic tag off the achievement table row entry on the Festival of the Four Winds (achievements) page + stick an anomaly/bug note at the bottom of the page instead. -Chieftain Alex 05:32, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick fix! 79.88.104.182 18:19, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
